We are narrowing down names for a boy and leaning towards [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] [name_m]Ransom[/name_m], both family names. We would nn him [name_m]Ernie[/name_m]. Thoughts??
[name_u]Love[/name_u] love love!!! [name_m]Ernest[/name_m], nn [name_m]Ernie[/name_m] works well on a baby/teen and adult. It’s vintage and underused.
Ernest is super cute!!! I’m a big fan of this kind of name. And Ransom freshens it up a bit.
Exactly!
[name_m]Ernest[/name_m] [name_m]Ransom[/name_m] is so bold and charming
[name_m]Ernest[/name_m] [name_m]Ransom[/name_m] is such a gorgeous name, and the combination of an old-timey name and the unexpected middle name realky gives it an edge.
hm, I think the names go well together style-wise and yet the combo is too wordy for me, sounding like earnest ransom. As in, somebody was kidnapped and the ransom demand is an earnest demand and not to be joked with.
Does that make sense? That’s the first thing that came to mind, anyway.
if we’re looking at the names meaning… perhaps not the best combination
sounds nice though :))
ernest ransom is so so cool, and i love ernie
Sound-wise it’s fine, but it’s a definite nope from me because both names are also words, making it sound like the first name is an adjective describing the (noun) middle name. Your kid’s name would basically be “serious payment to get a prisoner back.” Like it sounds like a cheesy name J.K. Rowling would use for a side character to match to something in their backstory.
A perfect mix of traditional and modern - plus, [name_m]Ernie[/name_m] adds just a bit of childish flair and makes it so cute for a little boy. Go for it!
As in, somebody was kidnapped and the ransom demand is an earnest demand and not to be joked with.<
This for me, too.
Oo I love these names together! Very strong. And [name_m]Ernie[/name_m] is so cute!
