Last night I was thinking about my favorite names, in particular the name [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] which is one of our favorite middles right now. I was trying to figure out why I like it and I realized it’s the “evra” part which makes sense since some of my other favorite names are very similar… [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], Evren, [name_u]Evan[/name_u], etc.
I googled and couldn’t find much for the name Evra other than a few yahoo answers posts. It’s not on behindthename so I assume it’s not a “legit” name but I still think it’s pretty.
I pronounce is ehv-ra. [name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering what everyone else thinks… could it pass as a legitimate name or is it too “made up”?
There’s a [name_m]French[/name_m] footballer named [name_u]Patrice[/name_u] Evra. He was apparently born in [name_u]Senegal[/name_u], but I’m not sure if that lends any clues, but I couldn’t find anything else on my google quest.
I don’t think people would really question Evra as a name because it sounds so familiar… you may get the side-eye about “What, did your Ortho Evra patch quit working or something?” though.
lol I used to be pretty active on a football community site and his tag was “[name_u]Patrice[/name_u] Ortho Evra”… I totally see the appeal, but it may not be a good choice.
