It means ‘‘maiden.’’

It’s not my style but fine for other people

One of my favourite names. I love everything about it, other than the fact it’s quite popular now.

I Personally love the name however not a huge fan of the pronunciation I like [name_f]Imogene[/name_f] (em-a-gene) a little better

Sweet and fun! I like that it’s well-known but still a refreshing, unexpected choice.

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is strong and distinct. I like the sounds

I’m not a fan of the name, it sounds good but to me it just looks a bit weird. I hadn’t heard of the name until last year or so I think I’m just unfamiliar with it and that’s why.

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is beautiful. It’s on my longlist of girls names, and one of SOs top two girls names. The only thing that puts me off using it is popularity as it’s pretty common here in NZ and in the UK.

Despite its popularity, it’s a classic that doesn’t feel trendy and like it will soon be “dated” so I still think it’s a great name that I would love to see someone use.

One of my favorites!

Great name! Super fun & it fits all ages, which is a big plus for me

Really like it. Couldn’t convince my husband, otherwise I’d have put it on our short list. It’s really uncommon where we live which would have been an additional bonus for me.

While it’s not my favorite, I see the appeal of the strong, distinctive sounds! It feels classic but unexpected. I prefer [name_f]Imogene[/name_f], but that’s probably because it sounds better in my accent.

I love [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], it feels fresh to me as well as beautiful and bright, definitely one of the top contenders for if I ever have a real life daughter, and I love that even though it’s not the most common, it’s still a recognizable name to most people, so it’s still unique without being too left field for people

Feels very old lady to me!

While not my style, I can totally see the appeal. It reminds me of a very cosmopolitan young lady.

I love [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]! [name_f]Pretty[/name_f] sure it’s coming back in style, I know a two year old with the name… but also has never been crazy popular which is great.

I love it. It’s had good usage for years where I am so it’s familiar and I’ve never heard anyone speak bad of it. It’s on my list!
