WDYT of my boy list?

I lean toward more traditional/Biblical names for boys, as opposed to my girl’s picks that typically are more popular.

[name_m]Daniel[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Lee[/name_u]
[name_m]Joshua[/name_m]
[name_m]David[/name_m]

I like [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]!

Daniel - classic and lovely and [name_m]Dan[/name_m]/Danny are nice nicknames.
[name_u]James[/name_u] - Again, a lovely classic. I like the versatility with this name, nicknames options; [name_u]Jem[/name_u] (I have a soft spot for [name_u]Jem[/name_u] on a boy) [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], [name_m]Jim[/name_m]/Jimmy.
[name_u]Lee[/name_u] - my least favourite on your list, it seems incomplete.
[name_m]Joshua[/name_m] - nice but somehow feels less timeless than [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]. The nickname [name_m]Josh[/name_m] is good too.
[name_m]David[/name_m] - very classic. I’m not keen that on [name_m]Dave[/name_m] but I don’t think that’s inevitable. Although I think [name_m]Davy[/name_m] is very cute.

I love [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Joshua[/name_m]

[name_m]Daniel[/name_m]— I love this one so much! Classic and strong but still sweet. The only reason it’s not on my own short list is because I have negative personal associations, but it’s one of my favorites for sure!

James— also really love this one, especially with nicknames [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] or [name_u]Jem[/name_u]. Only reason it’s not higher on my own short list is I’m not a fan of [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m]/Jim, but overall, very solid name!

Lee— I’ve developed a tiny bit of a soft spot for this one lately, but I think I prefer the spelling [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], myself, it feels more “complete” to me. That said, it’s a nice name, just less my style than some of the others.

Joshua— this one’s a nice name too, not my favorite but nothing wrong with it at all! I do much prefer the full “[name_m]Joshua[/name_m]” to seemingly inevitable nickname “[name_m]Josh[/name_m].”

David— Same as [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], I prefer the full thing to any nicknames. This one isn’t a favorite of mine, either, but that’s a personal taste thing and I don’t think there’s anything “wrong” with this one either! That said, it’s probably my least favorite on your list but that’s only a personal taste thing.

Overall a lovely, solid, classic list!

Lee is perfect, love this.
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] has a nice sound, I get why it’s so popular.

my favourites are james (my no.1 boy’s name!) and daniel, great list!

I think [name_u]James[/name_u] is such a perfectly handsome classic. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Jay[/name_u], [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] or [name_u]Jem[/name_u] for short too. Super versatile.

I like [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]David[/name_m] a lot as well. They’re also classic, but more surprising on a baby nowadays, without feeling too dated.

I’ve never been a huge fan of [name_u]Lee[/name_u], which does feel a little more dated and a little less classic to me, but I do like [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or [name_m]Leon[/name_m].

I’ve always loved [name_m]David[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u], they’re classic but they always sound nice! I think all the names sound very handsome and sophisticated and personally I love them all and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of these names! Similar names are:

Adam, [name_u]Ezra[/name_u], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_u]Levi[/name_u], [name_m]Boaz[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u], [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], [name_m]Paul[/name_m]. :relaxed:

[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] — “[name_u]Danny[/name_u] Boy” is a great song to sing to your son! And [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] manages to be both strong, yet sensitive with its soft ending. Not a fan of Dan, but Daniel’s still on my shortlist.

[name_u]James[/name_u] — Similar to [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], but I don’t like the nns [name_m]Jim[/name_m] or [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m]. I also don’t think [name_u]Jem[/name_u] is super realistic and it’s slightly feminine (like [name_f]Jen[/name_f]), but that’s probably just because I’ve never heard someone with that nn. I love [name_u]James[/name_u] in full; I imagine a tall, strapping lad with a baritone voice.

[name_u]Lee[/name_u] — Dated, I’d say. Not a bad name by any means, though.

[name_m]David[/name_m] — [name_m]Dave[/name_m] is a nice nn, but the name in full makes of me think of Schitt’s [name_u]Creek[/name_u] ,”Uck, [name_u]Day[/name_u]-vid!” I prefer [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] personally.

[name_m]Joshua[/name_m] — Nice, soft sound, but I have bad associations with the nn [name_m]Josh[/name_m].

Favorites are [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
