WDYT of the name Rebecca?

Thoughts on [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] and the nicknames [name_f]Becca[/name_f] and [name_f]Becky[/name_f]?

I prefer [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] “Bekah” but overall, I think it’s a really great name with beautiful sounds!

It is a nice name like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] that I have heard used so much that I feel pretty neutral about it.

[name_f]Becky[/name_f] is cute and I like [name_f]Becca[/name_f] or Bekah. I also like the name [name_f]Reveka[/name_f].

This is a no for me.

I love [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f], such a beautiful timeless classic thats currently pretty underused. I prefer [name_f]Becca[/name_f] to [name_f]Becky[/name_f] but either is ok.

[name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] is preferred for me while I do not have any problem with [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]. I like the name a lot. [name_f]My[/name_f] style is much more obscure, but I appreciate the name’s longevity and sound. It ages very well, and while it’s had pockets of heavy usage, it’s solid enough to weather the trends.

I strongly prefer [name_f]Becca[/name_f] to [name_f]Becky[/name_f].

[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] has grown on me. I like the sharpness of it. [name_f]Becca[/name_f] is nice

I prefer [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] I think this name just looks more visually appealing with the K and H ending adding some visual interest. I prefer that [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] is biblical and just has a more peaceful sound through the biblical association. I also prefer Bekah as a nickname.

However [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] is a very timeless choice and I do also like this name as well.

I like Rebecca in full but strongly dislike most of the nicknames - probably because I spent my entire school life surrounded by a plethora of Becky / Bex / Rebs / Becca etc  it was incredibly popular so I’ve sort of gone off it. Becca sounds much classier than Becky to me so I’d choose that :relaxed:

Agree with this! The nicknames are ok! I know so many my age and a little older, so that’s my association. But a little baby Becky could be refreshing! :hugs:

I really like it !!! Timeless, feminine and strong. I like [name_f]Becca[/name_f] and [name_f]Becky[/name_f], but my favourite nn is [name_f]Bex[/name_f]. I also like spelling [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] or variant [name_f]Rivka[/name_f].

I think it’s lovely! Timeless and elegant. I like that it’s very familiar but not that popular for current babies, so people are unlikely to mess up her name but she also won’t have to be “Rebecca B.” in school. [name_f]Becca[/name_f] is such a fun and lively nickname, and [name_f]Becky[/name_f] is sweet too.

I know a [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] whose family calls her “Reebie.”

I love Rebecca!!! I wish I could use it ! Unfortunately it would be the same name as one of my husbands cousins.

I really like the name [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]. I prefer the [name_f]Rebeka[/name_f] spelling.

I don’t care for [name_f]Becca[/name_f] or [name_f]Becky[/name_f] — I think I find them more dated, while [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] is more classic. If my name was [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f], I would go by [name_u]Beck[/name_u].

I like it! [name_m]Classic[/name_m] with lots of nicknames
