and what kind of person do you picture when you hear these names?
[name]Zenobia[/name] sounds really African to me. I picture the name on a ‘sponsor this child’ ad. I do think it can be quite cool in the middle, though, like [name]Alice[/name] [name]Zenobia[/name]. I think [name]Acadia[/name] is a pretty name. I picture it on a spunky, punk rocker. I slightly prefer [name]Arcadia[/name], though.
[name]Zenobia[/name] sounds more Arabic to me, since I know of a Middle Eastern Restaurant by that name. I used to work with the owners before they branched out to start their own restaurant in another town.
And I know an Akadia (the mom loves creative spellings)…Akadia [name]Moon[/name]. I think the name is pretty, especially spelled correctly. They refer to parts of [name]Canada[/name] as “Acadian”
The only [name]Zenobia[/name] I ever knew was a much older lady, of [name]German[/name] Heritage I believe. So that’s who I picture.

I think it’s a very pretty name, with lots of history, but if you are also in [name]Canada[/name], your daughter will hear this name repeatedly in [name]History[/name]/Social Studies classes for the majority of her school years and may not appreciate that.
I am from [name]Canada[/name] but I have actually never heard of it before until going to [name]Acadia[/name] national park in [name]Maine[/name] with my boyfriend, but maybe I have heard it before but just didn’t pay attention when it was being talked about in school lol but I wouldn’t want to put her through that when I am having a child. I like [name]Acadia[/name], but I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Zenobia[/name]! I have a thing for Polish names, and [name]Zenobia[/name] is one of my favorites. I imagine a character in a short story I once wrote–she was strong, brave, loving, kind, and believed in everyone.

My first thought on [name]Zenobia[/name] was the kingdom of Genovia… from [name]Princess[/name] Diaries. But I’m a weirdo like that. 
I do prefer [name]Acadia[/name], I think there are more nn possibilities and it’s not quite as ‘out there’.
