Out of [name]Lucinda[/name], [name]Norah[/name] and [name]India[/name] we decided on [name]Lucinda[/name] with the nickname [name]Indie[/name] (husband plans to call her [name]Lucy[/name] as a nickname).
I had planned on [name]Maeve[/name] in the middle name slot but am wondering if there is something better.
Our other kids all have Irish or Scottish middles as a nod to our heritage and a couple of them are family surnames. I’d like to follow suit with [name]Lucinda[/name]'s middle.
[name]Do[/name] you think [name]Maeve[/name] works well with [name]Lucinda[/name] or can you suggest something more spectacular?
Last name is one syllable and starts with ‘W’.
Other kiddos are: [name]Juliette[/name] [name]Maura[/name], [name]Bella[/name] [name]Ryan[/name], [name]Mia[/name] [name]Sloane[/name], [name]Leo[/name] [name]Magnus[/name] and [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Arthur[/name].
My first thought with [name]Lucinda[/name] was [name]Mae[/name] so I think [name]Maeve[/name] is a cool choice. [name]Indie[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] also sound nice.
I also like the nickname [name]Cinda[/name]
[name]Lucinda[/name] is really pretty! I think [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is stunning. [name]Maeve[/name] is usually NMS, but paired with [name]Lucinda[/name] I love it!
[name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is lovely! I think it’ll go so well with your others. I’m usually not crazy about [name]Maeve[/name], either, but I do think it works well here. I also like the idea of [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Niamh[/name], or maybe even [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Aislinn[/name]. [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Niamh[/name] is definitely my favorite, though!
I quite like [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]! The combo really sparkles. I like [name]Ash[/name]'s suggestion of [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Aislinn[/name], too… or [name]Aisling[/name]? I also thought of [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Yvonne[/name] for some reason, but that doesn’t really match your others too well - I think you have a winner right now, anyhow.
[name]Lucinda[/name] is great! I like nn [name]Cinda[/name].
[name]Maeve[/name] doesn’t seem to flow well with [name]Lucinda[/name].
I see your pattern with the siblings and they all flow nicely. Those are some great combos!
So, for something Irish or Scottish in the middle, here are some options:
[name]Jean[/name]
[name]Eileen[/name]
[name]Eireen[/name] ([name]Irene[/name])
[name]Kathleen[/name]
[name]Davina[/name]
[name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Bride[/name] (breeda)
[name]Cait[/name]
[name]Greer[/name]/[name]Grier[/name]
[name]Tierney[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Shae[/name]
[name]Brae[/name]
[name]Caledonia[/name]?
I like the simplicity of [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Jean[/name] best.
Thanks nightowl13.
I have considered [name]Kathleen[/name] (it’s my Aunt’s name) but I’m afraid that would be an awfully long name with [name]Lucinda[/name].
I also like [name]Cait[/name] (would spell [name]Kate[/name] as its my Grandmother’s name) and [name]Quinn[/name] but not as much as [name]Maeve[/name].
Thanks gigigibbons! We’re excited!
I like [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Paige[/name] alot. We probably wouldn’t use that combo, though, as [name]Paige[/name] is my cousin’s daughter’s name.
I really appreciate your suggestion and reply. Thanks so much!
My initial thought when I read the topic was [name]Mae[/name], so I think [name]Maeve[/name] is a great MN! I love the nn [name]Lucy[/name] for [name]Lucinda[/name]. [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is such a pretty name, stick with it!
