We may use “[name]Elsie[/name]” as an informal nickname for either [name]Eloise[/name] or [name]Elise[/name]. The only one that doesn’t really have a nickname is [name]Sonja[/name].
I am still not sure any of these feel perfect but hopefully I can start using each of these more in every day life and we will see which ones feel like they might actually work!
I woul love to hear what type of girl/woman you picture when you hear these names? Strong or shy? Smart? Spunky or sweet?
I actually like [name]Sonja[/name] [name]Lee[/name] with sister [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Marie[/name]… LO’s nickname could be [name]Sunny[/name]! and [name]Sunny[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] are great sibling nicknames. My second choice is [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Lee[/name]. I like [name]Mattie[/name], but also love [name]Tilly[/name]! Good luck!
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is a sweet and spunky pairing. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] cute and sweet but seems like you’d call her by a nn with this name?
We would call her [name]Mattie[/name] or [name]Mattie[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (or even [name]Mattie[/name] J) but not as a rule, just more for fun… Same goes for [name]Elsie[/name]. I dont think either would be something that people would call her exclusively.
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] seem really overused (maybe just on Nameberry?). I like [name]Sonja[/name], but not [name]Lee[/name]. [name]Elise[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] is pretty.
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is wonderful, but I would really encourage you to use [name]Matilda[/name] instead of “[name]Mattie[/name].” With [name]Matilda[/name], I see a spunky, smart, and independent girl. I think the nn “[name]Mattie[/name]” takes all the spunk out of [name]Matilda[/name], and she would just blend in with all the Madelines and Madisons called “[name]Maddie[/name].”
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Marie[/name] are adorable together. I love [name]Elsie[/name] as the NN as well! As for the others, I love [name]Elise[/name] but it seems off paired with [name]Taylor[/name]. I love [name]Mattie[/name] as a NN but [name]Matilda[/name] is just not for me, it does sound nice with [name]Lucia[/name] though :). I like [name]Sonja[/name] and [name]Lucia[/name] together a lot too but it doesn’t have that wow factor that the other FNs do.
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is my favorite. It is also the name of a whimsical brand of girls clothing. I’m not really sure how many people that you meet will make the connection, but you might want to google them so you can decide if that bothers you.
[name]Matilda[/name] is pretty, friendly and probably an Aussie
[name]Elise[/name] - so sweet a big favourite of mine, a definite winner
[name]Eloise[/name]- a beautiful name for a sweet girl
[name]Sonja[/name]- nn of Sony a bit harsh compared to the other choices.
I think [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name] would make brilliant sisters.
[name]Elise[/name] is an elegant name I would prefer [name]Elle[/name] over [name]Elsie[/name] because she is such a sophisticated girl.
Out of your combos, I like [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Elise[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] with [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Marie[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are adorable!
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. No contest.
[name]Mattie[/name] is a great nn when she’s younger, and [name]Matilda[/name] is stylish for a teen to young adult.
[name]Elise[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] is really jumping out at me, and I normally wouldn’t gravitate toward [name]Taylor[/name]. I really like it with [name]Elise[/name].
[name]Sonja[/name] is becoming a favorite of mine too. I can see why these are top 4.
