[name]Hi[/name], I’m [name]Samantha[/name], and my husband and I just found out that our fifth (and last) baby is another girl. We have four older daughters, [name]September[/name] [name]Claire[/name] (nn [name]Tess[/name]) is 7, Greenley [name]Katherine[/name] is 5, and twins Makelle [name]Lily[/name] ([name]Maks[/name]) and [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ([name]Charley[/name]) are 3. We love unique names, ([name]Charlotte[/name] was an exception, it was my mother-in-law’s name) and since I was pregnant with [name]September[/name] I have loved loved loved the name [name]Starr[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name]. Of course my husband came across the name [name]Sunny[/name] and is set on that. We are obviously at complete opposite ends and need help! What sounds best? Other suggestions are welcome!!
Well, I love the name [name]Sunny[/name], but I think it sounds quite childish. What about [name]Sunday[/name] nn [name]Sunny[/name]? Or [name]Tuesday[/name], even? [name]Tuesday[/name] woudl sound cool with your sibset. [name]Starr[/name] isn’t too bad, nor is [name]Stella[/name], which is a bit more discreet. [name]Do[/name] you like any of those? I love that you used [name]September[/name]!!
I much prefer [name]Sunny[/name] to [name]Starr[/name], myself, but I agree with the previous poster that it sounds very childish. [name]Starr[/name], especially spelled with two R’s, just looks a bit cheap to me, if I’m to be completely frank with you.
Okay, so her sisters will be [name]September[/name] “[name]Tess[/name],” Greenley, Makelle “[name]Maks[/name],” and [name]Charlotte[/name] “[name]Charley[/name],” right? I’m not sure I got [name]Maks[/name]’ name right, but we’ll go with that…
I thought the suggestion of [name]Tuesday[/name] was adorable, and something like [name]Tuesday[/name] [name]Estella[/name] would give you a sweet feminine name with a star connection! [name]Tuesday[/name] - what could you call her? Tutu? I have no idea - maybe she doesn’t need a nickname!
Or, perhaps a virtue name, along the lines of [name]Prudence[/name] “[name]Prue[/name],” [name]Verity[/name] “[name]Vera[/name],” or [name]Serenity[/name] “[name]Sera[/name]” might work for you. Another thought might be a place name, along the lines of [name]Capri[/name], [name]Sicily[/name], or [name]Indiana[/name]. A word name like [name]Ever[/name], [name]Poet[/name], or [name]Tempest[/name] could work, too. I could also see a nickname name, like [name]Romy[/name], working with your set! A nature name would be pretty - [name]Azalea[/name], [name]Hyacinth[/name], [name]Jessamine[/name], [name]Poppy[/name]?
Good luck!
[name]Lemon[/name]
I love the suggestion of [name]Sunday[/name] nn [name]Sunny[/name]…very sweet and fits with your daughters’ names. I agree [name]Starr[/name] doesnt seem appropriate for a baby girl… [name]Astrid[/name] is a pretty name that gives me a similar feel but more sophisticated… [name]Astrid[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name] would be lovely…
let us know what you decide…
My bff’s name is [name]Sunshine[/name], if you’re brave enough to go there! She loves it!
I think [name]Star[/name] is better with just one R.
[name]How[/name] about lengthening it to [name]Starla[/name] or even the bird name [name]Starling[/name]?
What about [name]Susannah[/name] nn [name]Sunny[/name]?
Or [name]Araminta[/name], nickname of [name]Minty[/name]? I love it, and I think its definitely original!
We really love [name]Tuesday[/name], [name]Sunday[/name], [name]Serenity[/name], and [name]Sicily[/name]! [name]Starr[/name] is just a name I have loved forever, and I would love to use it maybe as a middle name. We don’t need a nickname if we use [name]Tuesday[/name], our 5 year old Greenley doesn’t have a nickname, so she won’t be left out. Also just to clarify Makelle is pn Mah-kell, and [name]Maks[/name] is pn like “[name]Max[/name]”. So, what does everyone think of [name]Tuesday[/name], [name]Sunday[/name], [name]Serenity[/name], or [name]Sicily[/name]?
[name]Sunday[/name] is definitely my favorite. fits well with your other daughters too. very pretty name. my favorite day of the week too (:
[name]Seren[/name] would be a nice alternative to [name]Serenity[/name]…
[name]Sicily[/name] is pretty but prefer the spelling [name]Cecily[/name]…
let us know what you finally decide.
i like[name]Starr[/name] much more than the trendy [name]Sunday[/name] nn [name]Sunny[/name]. I think [name]Sunny[/name] sounds like a boy’s name ie [name]Sonny[/name].
[name]Starr[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name] is very nice
I like [name]Tuesday[/name] personally.
As a side note, I grew up with an [name]Allison[/name] that went by [name]Sunny[/name].
I prefer [name]Sunny[/name] over [name]Starr[/name]. If I can be blunt, I once mentioned the name [name]Starr[/name] to my partner and he said it sounded like a “stripper name.” I’m not sure if other people would get that impression but it does concern me. I could make a cute nn, maybe for [name]Scarlett[/name] or [name]Stella[/name] (means star). I think [name]Sunny[/name] would make a great nn for [name]Sunday[/name] or [name]Sonya[/name].

As for [name]Sunny[/name]… I knew 2 girls with that name! One I went to college with & worked with her. Her mother was “obsessed” with the sun and that’s how she got her name! [name]Sunny[/name] was a very pleasant person and now she’s an elementary school teacher, a very good one.
The other [name]Sunny[/name] was a child who’s actual name was Suncerae. This is a phonetic form of the Turkish unisex name Sonseray (but is technically pronounced “sun sur [name]RYE[/name].” The little girl was very cute & spunky!
[name]Starr[/name] has always been one of my favorite word names. I’ve only met a boy with this name. But, the first time I heard it was in the movie Desert Bloom. The aunt in the movie was called [name]Starr[/name]. She had a wild streak & was very attractive.
I can’t see either name being a terrible choice. People usually grow into their names. Best of luck to you!
[name]Hi[/name]!
My favorite would be [name]Tuesday[/name], considering all of [name]Sunday[/name], [name]Serenity[/name], and [name]Sicily[/name] start with S, like [name]September[/name]. But, then again, [name]September[/name]'s nickname is [name]Tess[/name], which starts with T. I suppose any of them could work! My favorites are [name]Tuesday[/name] and [name]Sunday[/name], though!
[name]Lemon[/name]
I think wither [name]Tuesday[/name] or [name]Sunday[/name] work perfectly with your 4 girls! What i love about these names are their quirkiness, as well as the possibility of the nickname [name]Daisy[/name]! Too cute!
I think [name]Serenity[/name] is really cute possible nn [name]Seren[/name] or Reni?
I also like [name]Sicily[/name] no nn
[name]Tuesday[/name] and [name]Sunday[/name] are nice but personally would not choose it.
[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Trinity[/name]?
Or [name]Faith[/name]
[name]Destiny[/name]
[name]Harmony[/name]
[name]Savannah[/name]
[name]Skylar[/name]

[name]Jade[/name]
[name]Sienna[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Willow[/name]
[name]Skye[/name] instead of [name]Starr[/name]
[name]Phoenix[/name]
[name]Ashlyn[/name]
[name]Melody[/name]
[name]Eden[/name]
[name]Skylar[/name]
I think [name]Starr[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name] is a lot of “RR”, personally.
[name]Sicily[/name] sounds kinda spicy/exotic but not foreign. [name]Serenity[/name] is new age, but new age (for me) is getting old. Maybe I need to change professions (massage therapist). [name]Sunday[/name] and [name]Tuesday[/name] are both somewhat confusing I think. But then again, I also wouldn’t have used [name]September[/name]. I much prefer [name]Sundance[/name] to [name]Sunny[/name] or [name]Sunday[/name]. Also [name]Sundrenea[/name] or Sundra (made up as far as I know; from the word sundry, meaning diverse or assorted). Anyway, just ideas…
[name]Do[/name] you by any chance like [name]Sosie[/name]?I have recently come acroos it and is one of my favourite names! It is pronounced So-[name]Zee[/name]. You might also like [name]Saskia[/name], Alaska, [name]Cecilia[/name], [name]Winter[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name], [name]Evening[/name], [name]Liberty[/name] or [name]Verity[/name].
What do you think?

I love your children’s names, especially [name]September[/name] nn [name]Tess[/name]!
Like [name]Lemon[/name], while I don’t think you should rule out a name because it would give the same initial as one of your older children, it might be better to go for a non-T or S name, if you can find one that you love.
Additionally, I personally would avoid [name]Tuesday[/name] or [name]Sunday[/name], as they are date names like [name]September[/name].
Of your options at the moment, I prefer [name]Serenity[/name] (or [name]Serendipity[/name]).

I love the name Greenley but my hubby won’t let me use it. Such a great name!
