I’m genuinely curious, what do you think you’d use this for? I know there is some site out there that has something similar exclusively for names, but I can’t remember the name of it. I also know that a lot of the other AI bots can give name suggestions.
Not asking to upset you, invalidate your opinion, or get into the debate of AI, I’m just genuinely interested!

Respectfully, AI is everywhere now and while it has good uses in some areas, (I’m sure Nameberry would be one of them) I would love to see NB continue to evolve in a more human way, if that makes sense. Personally, I try to stay away from AI as much as possible, and love that Nameberry feels like a safe space to come and chat with people[name_f][/name_f] about names, not bots.

I find what makes Nameberry awesome are the Berries and the community on the site. Having an AI chatbot, in my opinion, reduces the creativity and community we’ve worked so hard to build on here. There are already so many websites where you can chat with AI, with a lot of forums and spaces like Nameberry having already been taken over by bots and AI. Personally, I come on here to express my creativity, and actually talk to people, not AI.

I get it. Sometimes I feel stuck when it comes to things like naming story characters, but I hateeee using chatgpt for help with that, it just suggests the same names over and over no matter how specific I try to be. It’s especially hard because I like reallyyy unique names, names that chatgpt just can’t think of without a very specific internet search and half of the time I can’t be specific I don’t know what exactly I’m looking for. I think a nameberry ai that uses all the names in the nameberry database would solve this problem. I don’t even like the name generators, they also use the same names and just can’t reach my unique taste.

[name_m]An[/name_m] AI chatbot would defeat the entire purpose of the forum. This site is unusable enough without an ad blocker. I have no idea why this site needs an AI feature to contribute to the destruction of the environment and the decline of people using their brains.
