I think the “t” ending on [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] doesn’t work with [name_m]Robert[/name_m] as well as [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]. Both are good names though.
I really like [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]! The most important consideration is that it sounds good with your last name, if one is better than the other?
I like [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] but find [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] tacky.
I love the meaning of [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] and would consider using it in the middle spot for this reason but I don’t like the surfer vibe so much.
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] is very cool, sweet and sophisticated all at the same time - A great name! [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] doesn’t flow the best but this isn’t the end of the world if it suits your surname. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] [name_u]Bobby[/name_u]? I’m not usually a fan of alliteration but [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] [name_u]Bobby[/name_u] is really cute! Or there are other [name_m]Robert[/name_m] diminutives like [name_u]Robbie[/name_u], [name_u]Bert[/name_u], [name_u]Bertie[/name_u]?
I second this. I think [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] is handsome, but I find [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] to be tacky as it’s a somewhat sacred term (from what I gather) in Buddhism. It’s the name for the understanding possessed by a Buddha in regards to the nature of things. It basically means awakening or enlightenment - but it’s still a religiously tied term, and, like [name_m]Cohen[/name_m], or [name_f]Aiyana[/name_f] or [name_m]Muhammed[/name_m], etc. I would find it rather distasteful if it’s used by someone who doesn’t practice this religion.
However if you do practice Buddhism, I don’t see a problem in using [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m].
I prefer [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]!
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] is fine but sounds bad with [name_m]Robert[/name_m]. I don’t like [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] and also would take into consideration what PPs said about its religious significance.
I would find something else if [name_m]Robert[/name_m] is definitely going to be the middle name.
