Websites for Baby Names / History

Hello fellow nameberries! I am wondering if you all could tell me what websites you favor in addition to nameberry (which I do love). I want something that will expand on the name a bit and tell me some of the history behind it. Thanks!

BehindtheName - http://www.behindthename.com - is my favourite for factual information such as origin or history, and includes the pronunciation of many names. It’s a more “academic” site where the focus is the database and information, less opinion and less active forums.

I also love the blog Appellation Mountain - http://appellationmountain.net - for its detailed, in-depth profiles of a different name each day, discussing meaning, history, past and present use, and public perception of a name. There are lists of names with a certain theme, e.g. [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]-related names or variants of [name_m]John[/name_m], as well as compilations of name-related news and birth announcements. It’s an American site, which does show in the cultural references.

That is just what I’m looking for. Thank you!

I recently came across this one, which is great for comparing popularity and historic trends: http://names.mooseroots.com/

Sounds great, thanks!
