Someone else posted something like this recently and it got me looking at the names of people in the comment section. There are some weird ones out there. I wrote down names that were people’s names not when they use facebook to call themselves [name_f]Banana[/name_f] Puffysleeves or something So here’s some weird names found on Facebook. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to comment on them and list some weird names you’ve found on facebook (or elsewhere) recently.
Boys:
[name_m]Moses[/name_m]
[name_m]Ryder[/name_m] (with the last name Kn1ght)
[name_m]Sisco[/name_m]
[name_m]Rome[/name_m] – I saw this one on a baby forum and the woman said she’d name a future girl [name_m]Miller[/name_m] and future boy [name_f]Ana[/name_f] O_O
Chikn
Varkeon
Girls:
[name_f]Mercie[/name_f] [name_u]Blue[/name_u]
[name_m]Osiris[/name_m]-[name_u]Leigh[/name_u] – >.<
Onyx-Marie
O’Lexa-Lea
Eilish
Talamasina
Wynter Airini
Java
Obeyy
Eriika
Chaelynn – kay-lin >.<
Jourden – she specified it was pronounced zhor-den
Kiri
Weird to me isn’t everyone’s weird [name_f]Kiri[/name_f] isn’t that bad, I just find it a weird first name. I think [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] would be a cool middle name (I like it for a boy). [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] or [name_f]Marietta[/name_f] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] would be cool.
I prefer [name_m]Moshe[/name_m] to [name_m]Moses[/name_m]. But yeah, it’s most decent one of the ones you’ve listed.[name_m]Osiris[/name_m] for a girl though D: Her parents really should have gone for [name_f]Isis[/name_f] instead sigh. And Obeyy… I don’t even know what to say. Chikn cracked me up a little
[name_m]Moses[/name_m] - I actually quite like this, although I wouldn’t use it personally
[name_m]Rome[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Roman[/name_m], but not [name_m]Rome[/name_m], for some reason… and [name_m]Miller[/name_m] would make a great boy’s name and [name_f]Ana[/name_f] a lovely girl’s name
Chikn - just. No.
Varkeon - this sounds like an evil fantasy animal
[name_f]Mercie[/name_f] [name_u]Blue[/name_u] - I really like [name_u]Blue[/name_u] as a mn, but that spelling of [name_f]Mercie[/name_f] is not good.
[name_u]Onyx[/name_u]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] - I too would quite like [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u]…
[name_u]Wynter[/name_u] Airini - I really like [name_u]Winter[/name_u], but more of a middle name for some reason. And I really dislike the gratuitous 'y’s.
[name_f]Java[/name_f] - coffee?
Obeyy - this is really revolting.
Eriika - what’s wrong with [name_f]Erica[/name_f]?! Poor, poor Eriika. She will have a lifetime of spelling headaches.
[name_f]Kiri[/name_f] - I quite like it as a nickname. Perhaps for [name_f]Kiara[/name_f] or something?
I think a whole bunch of these are fake. Like I know a girl who’s FB name is Lightning [name_f]Opal[/name_f], but her real name has nothing to do with that, she just doesn’t want future employers and such to be able to see her profile. I also know some who’s FB name is Battlestar Galacticat because she doesn’t want people to be able to find her too. Her real nickname is hidden inside her user name. It could be the same way with a bunch of these (Especially [name_m]Ryder[/name_m] Kn1ght and Chikn)
[name_m]Ryder[/name_m] Kn1ght was taken from a parenting page where a mother said that was the name of her son. I only wrote down names that included last names – Obeyy [name_m]Smith[/name_m] or Chikn [name_m]Henderson[/name_m] – So I’m inclined to believe them, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t fake. Still weird, if they are fake, that someone would choose to call themselves Obeyy.
Several of these were also taken from parenting and baby pages as the names of children.
I don’t find [name_m]Moses[/name_m] weird at all, just a little unusual (it is on my list though). I don’t really find [name_f]Eilish[/name_f] odd either - it’s a common enough Irish name.
Rosekore – girl
[name_m]Shiny[/name_m] – again, with a normal last name like [name_m]Shiny[/name_m] [name_m]Jones[/name_m] – girl
[name_m]Xerxes[/name_m] – I actually love this – boy
[name_f]Eithne[/name_f] – girl
Chonsee – I really like [name_u]Chauncey[/name_u] – boy
[name_f]Krisztina[/name_f] – superfluous Z – girl
Candelario – boy
Souix – girl – -_-
[name_m]Essex[/name_m] – girl
[name_m]Moses[/name_m], I guess, is weird to me because I’ve never met one and it seems like such a huge, well known guy to be named after. I could hear “parting the red sea” jokes.
To me naming your son [name_m]Moses[/name_m] is as normal as naming them [name_m]David[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a strong biblical name.
[name_m]Xerxes[/name_m] is the name of the king in the book of [name_f]Esther[/name_f] (another biblical name)
I suppose they do seem strange to people who don’t hear them. Although [name_m]Xerxes[/name_m] wasn’t a bad king, it is an unusual name choice.
Gah! I love [name_m]Xerxes[/name_m], probably because of [name_m]Xerxes[/name_m] Break from [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] Hearts. I might not be able to actually use it, but definitely is a guilty pleasure name!
I don’t really like any of the other names, except maybe [name_u]Onyx[/name_u], which I would rather use as a character than an child.
[name_m]Xerxes[/name_m] is a guilty pleasure name for me too, but I wouldn’t use it.
On another note, a friend just had a daughter and named her [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] [name_m]Xerxes[/name_m]! O_O He’s very gender fluid so he just flat didn’t care that [name_m]Xerxes[/name_m] is pretty inappropriate for a baby girl.
