Weird spelling thing

Okay. My daughter is named [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] (sounds like Neeve). I’m expecting another girl this [name_u]August[/name_u], and we think we’ve finally landed on a name. I’ve been really picky this time around and come up with totally ridiculous reasons to talk myself out of pretty much every name. I finally have one that we both like. There’s just one, tiny, and totally crazy thing. Tell me how nuts I am. The name is [name_u]Fiadh[/name_u] (sounds like [name_f]Fia[/name_f]).

I hate matching names, and these names are both spelled really similarly but pronounced totally differently.

[name_f]NIAMH[/name_f]
[name_u]FIADH[/name_u]

Consonant-I-A-Consonant-H

That’s it. That’s my problem. That’s totally crazy and not a problem, right???

Not a problem [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. They go well together without being matchy.

Yep, not a problem at all! They sound totally different and go really nicely together.

I don’t think it’s a problem  though I did immediately think they looked similar. However, I would have no idea how to pronounce it if you hadn’t said it sounded like [name_f]Fia[/name_f] (which is beautiful by the way).

Not too similar in my opinion and, can I just say, love love love the name [name_u]Fiadh[/name_u]. Pretty sound, and I love the meaning “wild”. [name_m]Just[/name_m] wish I could get away with something like that!

I love [name_u]Fiadh[/name_u]!! I came across it recently and fell in love with it, the spelling makes it look so exotic too. [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] and [name_u]Fiadh[/name_u] are beautiful together!

Not to similar  Most people will only hear them, not see them written, so I think you are sweet.
