This doesn’t translate exactly, but I knew a girl whose name was the Greek word for ā€œfountainā€ or ā€œspringā€ as in spring water, not the season. I also knew a Lemonya, the Greek word for ā€˜ā€˜lemon tree’’

One of my friend’s cousin is named [name_f]Zea[/name_f] (pronounced ā€œzeeā€). It’s a little boy, not short for anything. It feels like a missed opportunity to not call him Zealand nn [name_f]Zea[/name_f]. That would have been cool.

I had a junior in high school with this nameā˜ŗļø.
Never actually thought about it till today. Though IMO it isn’t weird

We had a neighbour called [name_f]Precious[/name_f] (f)

I quite like this! I think [name_f]Zee[/name_f] would have been more intuitive in terms of pronunciation though.

Mine is probably [name_m]Meriwether[/name_m] – great name (@Harvest-[name_u]Endellion[/name_u] you’ll appreciate this) but he also had two middle names that were at least as elaborate and unusual. It was quite the combo!

I also know a little boy named [name_m]Lancelot[/name_m], and have heard of babies named Reb3l-R0se and R@gnar-M00n (not related).

I met a girl in preschool years ago named Shadiamond.
I met another girl years ago in kindergarten named [name_m]Tupac[/name_m], but her name was changed a year or two later to [name_u]Genesis[/name_u].
I also met a family years ago that had two girls with common/trendy names (ZƵƫ and K@yléè) and named their son a name from an anime. I don’t remember the spelling but it was a Japanese name starting with a Z.
