Wes for a boy

would you name a son ‘wes’ on its own, just wes, no long-form?

would love to know your thoughts.

Sure! I like it!

No. I feel it would be annoying having everyone assume it was a nickname

I think it works well on its own! In my opinion, if you’re going to call him Wes anyway then why give him a longer name that won’t be used?

Sure, if it’s just [name_m]Wes[/name_m] you like, I think it can work

I definitely think [name_m]Wes[/name_m] can be used as a full name!

Sure! Same feel as Roy, Del, Todd etc

I personally wouldn’t (I tend not to like nickname names overmuch), but I think one definitely could.

[name_m]Wes[/name_m] definitely works on its own.

I think it works perfectly well on its own! You might get the occasional “what’s it short for?” but as long as that’s not a deal-breaker I’d go for it.

I absolutely love longer names with short nickname potential but I think that [name_m]Wes[/name_m] can absolutely stand on its own !

Yes i have just [name_m]Wes[/name_m] on my list

I really like [name_m]Wes[/name_m], but I’d only use it as a nickname for [name_u]Wesley[/name_u].

Certainly works!

I’d prefer to have [name_u]Wesley[/name_u] to fall back on, but I’m not a huge fan of either, so I may not be the best example :upside_down_face:

Maybe! I like both, but maybe [name_u]Wesley[/name_u] nn [name_m]Wes[/name_m] if you can’t decide.
