What about Anna-Maria for a girl??

DH mentioned last night he really loves [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Maria[/name] if baby is a girl. I had never thought of it, but I must say I think it is pretty. I have always loved [name]Anna[/name]. Our other girls are: [name]Maggie[/name], [name]Kelsey[/name]-[name]Rose[/name], [name]Emma[/name], [name]Mary[/name]-[name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Claire[/name].
What do ya’ll think???

I think it is a lovely name. From your other girls’ names, it looks like you love double first names.

I think this name works well with your other girls’ names. However, since you have three girls with double names and only two girls with single names, I would personally go with a single name for a 6th child. That may be the neurotic namer in me, though!

Lol! Yes, I do love double names.

Anyone else have opinions???

Not with a sister named [name]Mary[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Otherwise it’s pretty.

[name]Anna[/name]-[name]Maria[/name] is pretty. But with a sister named [name]Mary[/name]-[name]Elizabeth[/name], I wouldn’t use another form of the same name ([name]Maria[/name] is the Latin/Spanish form of [name]Mary[/name]). It just feels to close for me. If you wanted to keep [name]Anna[/name]-___ you could do something like:

Also, for some reason the name [name]Antonia[/name] and [name]Anneliese[/name]/[name]Annelisa[/name] (or [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Lisa[/name]) are popping into my head for your set. [name]Hope[/name] that helps!

I agree with @ewaggenspack that I’d choose a “single” name for this daughter since you’d balance the mix of double and single names. I also agree with @irisrose that [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Maria[/name] takes away from the impact of [name]Mary[/name]-[name]Elizabeth[/name]'s name considering [name]Mary[/name] and [name]Maria[/name] are essentially the same name. It is a very pretty name, though!

Something like [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Annora[/name], [name]Annalee[/name], [name]Anastasia[/name], or [name]Anya[/name] would be cute, though. Or just [name]Anna[/name], which I still love with [name]Beatrix[/name] - my only concern would be that [name]Anna[/name] is close to [name]Emma[/name], but I don’t think it would be a problem. One could be [name]Annie[/name] and the other could be [name]Em[/name] - well, whatever you call [name]Emma[/name] - or you could call [name]Anna[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] “[name]Annie[/name] [name]Bea[/name],” which is very sweet…

Thanks ladies. Hubby doesn’t like [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Annalise[/name] or [name]Arabella[/name] (one of my faves…)
We both like [name]Anna[/name]… but he feels just [name]Anna[/name] by itself is short. I do love [name]Anna[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name]… I will run it by him. What else would sound good with [name]Anna[/name]??? Can’t use [name]Julia[/name] as our youngest is [name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Claire[/name] [name]Juliette[/name]. We usually call her [name]Sophie[/name], and since they would be close in age, I thhought “[name]Sophie[/name]” and “[name]Annie[/name]” sounded cute together…

I was also thinking this morning about the name [name]Ellie[/name]? My sister said she adored it but didn’t think it was classic enough to fit with my other girls names.

I need some more ideas, anybody have any???, I am starting to worry that we have run out of girl names!!!
once again here is all of our outher children’s names (maybe it is helpful or you to see them)
[name]Maggie[/name] D’[name]Shea[/name]
[name]Jonah[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]
[name]Kelsey[/name]-[name]Rose[/name] [name]Soledad[/name]
[name]Emma[/name] [name]Addison[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Mary[/name]-[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Levi[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name]
[name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Daniel[/name]
[name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Claire[/name] [name]Juliette[/name]

I think [name]Ellie[/name] could make a cute addition to your set. My only worry would be that if you call [name]Emma[/name] “[name]Emmie[/name]”, [name]Ellie[/name] and [name]Emmie[/name] can be quite confusing/matchy. If not, a single name with the nickname [name]Ellie[/name] could be cute ([name]Ellie[/name] itself feels too informal). [name]Eleanor[/name] comes to mind, and fits with the vintage charm of your set. If [name]Ellie[/name] is to close to [name]Emma[/name]/[name]Emmie[/name], then how about [name]Nellie[/name]? I know someone whose full name is simply [name]Nell[/name]. Or [name]Nell[/name]/[name]Nellie[/name] can be a nickname for [name]Helen[/name] or [name]Eleanor[/name]. Okay, I’m going to brainstorm some names that sound good with [name]Anna[/name]… [name]Anna[/name] [name]Marisa[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Beth[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Brooke[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Faye[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Faith[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Lou[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Louise[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Joy[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Celeste[/name]… That’s all I can think of. [name]Hope[/name] that helps!

Here are some other suggestions:

[name]Anna[/name]-[name]Kate[/name] or [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Mae[/name]

I also thought of [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Maeve[/name]…wdyt?

[name]Anna[/name]-[name]Kate[/name] is cute, but I’ve already used the name kate ([name]Mary[/name]-[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Kate[/name]).

[name]Emma[/name] is NEVER called “[name]Emmie[/name]”… she is almost 9 so I am pretty sure that would never be an issue. We call her [name]Emma[/name] or at times [name]Emma[/name] [name]Grace[/name].

I like [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Joy[/name], hubby not so much… Keep brainstorming, if anything else comes up, please let me know! Thanks ladies! There has to be more to go with [name]Anna[/name]. what about [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Frances[/name]?

I just thought of [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Josephine[/name]. That way you could call her [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Jo[/name], or [name]Annie[/name]-[name]Jo[/name]. Wait but that doesn’t work with [name]Jonah[/name], does it? And his middle name is [name]Joseph[/name]! Okay, nevermind :frowning: [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Frances[/name] is a bit “AN” heavy to my ears. Hmm… not sure if these have been mentioned but also [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Ruth[/name], [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Jean[/name], [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Violet[/name] (maybe too much with [name]Kelsey[/name]-[name]Rose[/name]), [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Malia[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]. [name]Hope[/name] that helps!

I love [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Caroline[/name], or [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Maeve[/name].

What about [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Jane[/name]???
