What are some different spellings for Adalyn?!?

I think we are set on naming our little girl [name]Adalyn[/name] [name]Reese[/name]. I know there are probably alot of different spellings we could use and I would like to get ya’ll’s help in that. We like the pronunciation [name]Add[/name]-uh-lynn vs [name]Add[/name]-a-line. I know this name will also not be a lot of peoples style but it seems to work for us. And we think it goes well with brothers [name]Easton[/name] and Rowdy. I did also love [name]Adelaide[/name] but husband would not go for it lol.
Thank you ladies!!!

I think the [name]Adalyn[/name] spelling is your best option for the pronunciation you like. Adulyn, Adylyn, [name]Adelyn[/name], Adylin, Adalun, [name]Adelynn[/name], [name]Adalynn[/name]- none of those look good at all. I think [name]Adalyn[/name] is best followed by [name]Adelyn[/name].

Here are Nameberry’s spelling options for [name]Adalyn[/name], which is listed as a variation of [name]Adalia[/name]: [name]Adalyn[/name], [name]Adalynn[/name], [name]Adalynne[/name], [name]Addalyn[/name], and [name]Addalynn[/name]; and here are the options for [name]Adelyn[/name], listed as a variation of [name]Adeline[/name] or [name]Adele[/name]: [name]Adelyn[/name], [name]Adelynn[/name], [name]Adelynne[/name], [name]Adilene[/name], and [name]Adlin[/name].

I think I agree with domestikated that [name]Adalyn[/name] and [name]Adelyn[/name] are your best and simplest options. Congrats and best wishes!

I like [name]Adelyn[/name] or [name]Adalyn[/name] the best!

Addalin perhaps?

This is a slightly different name, but since you liked [name]Adelaide[/name], the name Adalinde/Adalind popped into my head (prn. the same as [name]Adalyn[/name], but with a soft “d” sound at the end). I don’t know a lot about the name, but I heard it several months ago and it stuck in my mind.

I think [name]Adelyn[/name] actually looks a lot nicer, and somehow less awkward, than [name]Adalyn[/name]. And it will still get you the pronunciation you want.

[name]Adelyn[/name] does look a bit better to me.

I like [name]Adelyn[/name] the best. Cute name! [name]Adalyn[/name] makes me want to say Ayda-lynn.

I think [name]Adelyn[/name] looks much nicer. It’s smoother to the eye somehow than [name]Adalyn[/name].

Agree completely with this!

I slightly prefer [name]Adelyn[/name], but [name]Adalyn[/name] is fine. The rest are not great, [name]IMO[/name].

I prefer [name]Adelyn[/name]. A previous poster suggested Addalin, which looks like [name]Aladdin[/name] to me!

I would also go with [name]Adelyn[/name]. Very pretty sound. I do wish there were a more uniform spelling for this pronunciation of the name, because people get [name]WAY[/name] too “kre-8yv” otherwise.

Well… [name]Aladdin[/name] does sort of sound like [name]Adelyn[/name]… no matter how you spell it.

[name]Adelyn[/name] would be my pick of the options, but honestly, [name]Adeline[/name] is the only one that looks “right” to me. I actually knew an [name]Adeline[/name] who spelled it that way but pronounced it the way you want - I never realised she was pronouncing it wrong or anything :S

I’d spell it [name]Adelyn[/name]. [name]Adalyn[/name] makes me want to say ayda-lynn (like [name]Ada[/name] and [name]Lynn[/name]). It’s also the closest to [name]Adeline[/name], kind of like [name]Carolyn[/name]/[name]Caroline[/name] or [name]Madelyn[/name]/[name]Madeline[/name].
