Mean or maybe even evil? In other words, what are some names that you associate with someone particularly bad like villains from movies, mean people you’ve met, etc? Or maybe names you think are just plain ugly.
Some of my examples:
[name]Ursula[/name]
[name]Meredith[/name] (I’ve never met a nice [name]Meredith[/name])
[name]Ramsey[/name]
[name]Killian[/name] (the “kill” makes it sound mean imo)
[name]Hortense[/name]
[name]Damien[/name]
[name]Bruce[/name]
[name]Brutus[/name]
[name]Hilda[/name]
[name]Olga[/name]
[name]Bart[/name]
[name]Gunner[/name]
[name]Brunhilda[/name]
[name]Gunhilda[/name]
I agree with [name]Ursula[/name] and [name]Killian[/name]! [name]Don[/name]'t sound very nice, associated with murder and an evil octupus-lady for me. I also dislike [name]Meghan[/name], [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Gillian[/name], [name]Layla[/name], [name]Renee[/name], [name]Tyler[/name], [name]Luke[/name], and [name]Monica[/name] which is too bad because I would otherwise like the names, but associate them with people I don’t like.
Oh my goodness! I also associate [name]Silas[/name] with evil … I thought I was the only one, and am not sure where I got the connection from. It reminds me of a horror film, set in the hilly countryside, and the murderer is called [name]Silas[/name] - yes, that is honestly the image it conjurs up in my mind.
[name]Silas[/name] was the nasty guy in The Da [name]Vinci[/name] Code…also a biblical name. As for [name]Ursula[/name], although I still don’t like it, I have met a lovely woman with that name.
This reminds me of my grandmother!
She was a teacher for years and told my mom that if she ever wanted to name a kid, to never teach, haha. (:
(Apparently some decent names were ruined for her.)
