[name]Just[/name] let me know
Well, no names are overused for me, lol… Some of my favorites are really popular. But if I actually was influenced by popularity, I would say that [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Jack[/name], [name]Caleb[/name], [name]Daniel[/name], and [name]Joshua[/name] were too popular. I would still totally use all of them with the exception of maybe [name]Joshua[/name], but that’s only because it’s my cousin’s name, not because it’s too popular.
[name]Isobel[/name] / [name]Isabella[/name] & [name]William[/name]
I like but probably wouldn’t use because of popularity [name]Ava[/name], [name]Claire[/name], [name]Layla[/name], [name]Grace[/name], [name]Harper[/name], [name]Isla[/name] (this one I’m sad about).
For the boys - [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Flynn[/name]/[name]Finn[/name], [name]Noah[/name].
My long time faves [name]Emma[/name] (2nd popular this year here in Germany) & [name]Linus[/name] (pronounced [name]LEE[/name]-nuus) (30),
also [name]Jonas[/name] ([name]YO[/name]-nuhs, 5), [name]Elias[/name] (E-lee-uhs, 11), [name]Amelie[/name] ([name]AH[/name]-me-lie, 16), [name]Greta[/name] (Greh-tuh, 39) and [name]Clara[/name] (Clah-ruh, 24)
The thought of having another kid with the same name in their classroom really bothers me too much to use them.
For me, it’s the ones that are massively popular: [name]Aidan[/name], [name]Ava[/name], [name]Emilia[/name], [name]Emily[/name], [name]Emma[/name], [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Isabel[/name]/[name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Jacob[/name], [name]Madeline[/name]/[name]Madeleine[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Sophia[/name]. I wouldn’t want people to hear my kid’s name and think ‘Oh no, not another one!’
I love [name]Saoirse[/name] (mialy for the meaning and story), but that’s too popular in [name]Ireland[/name] at the moment
and for boys, i love [name]Noah[/name], maily for the personal connection: my initials spell ARK however, also a recent surge in popularity has been seen in [name]Ireland[/name]
I love classic names for boys, so most are popular. [name]William[/name] and [name]James[/name] are my favorite. My city seems to be a fan of the more unusual though. Not always, but it’s definitely a trend here. I scanned through the birth announcements for the past few months and sons were named [name]Jace[/name], [name]Braylon[/name], [name]Keaton[/name], Fen, Traisen, [name]Leland[/name], [name]Isaac[/name], [name]Noah[/name], [name]Warren[/name], [name]Colton[/name] and [name]Scout[/name]. Maybe my little (hypothetical) [name]William[/name] will stand out.
[name]Violet[/name], [name]Lila[/name], and [name]Miles[/name] (how funny they all have the same sounds). I might still consider [name]Lila[/name] someday, but it’s similarity to [name]Lily[/name]/[name]Lillian[/name]/all the double-L names is a bummer. [name]Violet[/name] was my favorite after the Series of Unfortunate Events and, as a travel/wandering fan, I always liked the miles-to-go aspect of that classic name. But [name]Violet[/name] seems pretty trendy these days and, though I don’t think [name]Miles[/name] will ever sound dated, it has lost a little of its luster as it and [name]Milo[/name] have grown in popularity (and also since I’ve gotten caught up in some names I like better, I guess).
