What are you and YOUR siblings named?

Twins-

  • [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] ([name_f]Claire[/name_f] after grandmother)
    &

  • [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] ([name_m]Peter[/name_m] after Uncle’s fn and Father’s mn)
*Our mom wanted to name us [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] but didn’t because of the the famously tragic Czar [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] and Czarina [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] of Russia, who were murdered as well as 4/5 of their children. The 5th, [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], was never found ([name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is who the Disney movie is based on) #historylessoncomplete haha

  • [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ([name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] after Aunt’s mn)

  • [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] ([name_f]Michelle[/name_f] after Aunt’s fn)

Me: [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] ([name_f]Caroline[/name_f] because they liked it and my dad is [name_m]Charles[/name_m], [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] after great grandmother)

Younger sister: [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ([name_f]Ava[/name_f] because they liked it because it was very uncommon at the time, and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] after other great grandmother)

Younger sister: [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Dominica[/name_f] ([name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] because they REALLY loved it, and [name_f]Dominica[/name_f] after great grandfather [name_m]Dominic[/name_m])

I like my name, but I don’t like how [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] has the same first letter as my last name. I also don’t like the popularity of [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. My parents don’t like popularity, so they chose my sister’s names when they weren’t that popular. [name_m]Little[/name_m] did they know how insanely popular these names would become.

[name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], in my opinion, clashes, because I feel like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is much more modern than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. And why did they make [name_f]Ava[/name_f]'s middle name [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]'s first name!? People don’t believe me when I tell them that. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Dominica[/name_f] is pretty.

Overall, I’m not a fan of the sibset [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. And now that I have it typed out for me to see, I don’t like how [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] start with C, while [name_f]Ava[/name_f] doesn’t. Good names on their own, but not together.

[name_f]Jessica[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] “[name_u]Jessie[/name_u]” & [name_m]Kevin[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]

I like how [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] & [name_m]Kevin[/name_m] sound together

They don’t have any meaning lol

[name_m]Paul[/name_m], [name_u]Nick[/name_u], & [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]

[name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] - [name_m]New[/name_m] Testament [name_m]Paul[/name_m], [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] they loved
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] - Both [name_m]New[/name_m] Testament names
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] - Loved [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] to honor an aunt named [name_f]Susan[/name_f]

  1. [name_m]Bernardo[/name_m]
  2. [name_m]Marcos[/name_m]
  3. [name_f]Olga[/name_f]
  4. [name_f]Maria[/name_f] [name_f]Rita[/name_f]
  5. Olavo
  6. [name_m]Mauricio[/name_m]
  7. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] (me)

[name_m]John[/name_m] O’Shields III “[name_m]Trey[/name_m]” - My only brother and oldest sibling. He was named after my dad, and my mom came up with the nickname [name_m]Trey[/name_m] because he was the third [name_m]John[/name_m] O. and [name_m]Trey[/name_m] means ‘three’.

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - My oldest sister. My granddad helped my mom pick [name_f]Emily[/name_f] (She was supposed to be [name_f]Emilie[/name_f], but the nurse made a mistake on the birth certificate and my mom left it), and the “[name_f]Marie[/name_f]” is a family name, that has been given as a middle name for generations on my mom’s side.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Green[/name_u] - My closest sibling in age (but she’s still ten years older than me). She was was named after a relative on my mom’s side, and [name_u]Green[/name_u] is a family name on my mom’s side.

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_u]Britt[/name_u] “[name_f]Katie[/name_f]” - Me! I was named after my aunt, except she goes by [name_f]Kathy[/name_f], and [name_u]Britt[/name_u] is a family name on my dad’s side.

I couldn’t imagine us named anything else! I love my own and my sibling’s names.

[name_f]April[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] (me) - My parents got married in [name_f]April[/name_f], and my dad thought it would be hilarious to have a child named after consecutive months, ergo [name_f]April[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f].

[name_m]Zachary[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] - Honestly no real meaning…

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] - [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is after my grandmother, [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is just because

[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] - [name_u]Jude[/name_u] after Hey [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_m]Miles[/name_m] just because

[name_m]Coleman[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]- [name_m]Coleman[/name_m] is after some jazz musician because my dad studies jazz for a living, and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] was the middle name of my dad’s grandpa.
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Emily[/name_f]- Me! my mom really liked [name_f]Emily[/name_f] but she felt it was too popular (i was born in 2000) and she wanted to call me [name_u]Isa[/name_u] (ee-sa not ih-sa) i was having nothing to do with that, and I go by [name_f]Bella[/name_f].

My mom wanted to name my brother [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] and me [name_u]Madison[/name_u] because my dad got his undergrad degree at University of Wisconsin [name_u]Madison[/name_u] and my mom got hers at UC [name_f]Santa[/name_f] [name_u]Cruz[/name_u]. My mom also really likes the name [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] but I’m glad that that isn’t my name! [name_m]Coleman[/name_m] would have been [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] if he had been a girl and I would have been [name_u]August[/name_u] if I was a boy. I would like to name a future son [name_m]Coleman[/name_m], because I admire him a lot, he and I are very close.

My siblings were not named after anyone particularly, my parents just chose the names they liked the most. I have two brothers and a sister, named
[name_m]Judah[/name_m] [name_u]Chase[/name_u]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_u]Allison[/name_u]
[name_u]Tegan[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]

My name is [name_u]Cory[/name_u] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], and then it’s my 3 younger siblings…

[name_m]Tristian[/name_m] [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]
[name_f]Nicolette[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]

I’m the oldest, and my name is [name_u]Simone[/name_u] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. My parents thought I was a boy up until I was born and they were planning on calling me [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. With my younger sister, [name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], they knew as soon as they could. My soon-to-be stepsister is named [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] [name_u]Blaire[/name_u] - her father’s middle name is [name_u]Blair[/name_u], so they feminized it. Not sure on the origin of [name_f]Jessica[/name_f].

In order:
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (me)
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] (angel brother)
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Gerda[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] (angel sister, named after a Great Grandmother and Grandmother)

Oldest to youngest…

[name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]
[name_u]Ryan[/name_u] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (Me)
[name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_m]Travis[/name_m]

None of us were named after anyone, my parents just gave us names they liked.

Overall I like all of our names. I’m really close with all of my brothers, so I would like to name my kids after them, but unless I’m able to make sure I have three boys none of their names will be used.

My oldest brother has two sons, [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] and [name_m]Kian[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]. [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] is after our father and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] was our grandfather. I’m not in love with their first names, but I do think they sound nice together.

Oldest to youngest also:

[name_u]Kendall[/name_u] [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] (me)
[name_m]Colton[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]
[name_u]Teagan[/name_u] [name_u]Joan[/name_u]

None of our first names are after anyone, just middle names. My middle name, [name_f]Rhea[/name_f], was the nickname of my mother’s great grandmother, [name_f]Regina[/name_f].
My brother has two middle names because he was supposed to be [name_m]Colton[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u], but then my great grandfather, [name_m]Henry[/name_m], passed away just before he was born, and so my parents were going to do [name_m]Colton[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but they were afraid the “[name_m]Henry[/name_m]” would get lost.
My sister [name_u]Teagan[/name_u]'s middle name is [name_u]Joan[/name_u] because of my mother’s mother, who died less than a year after my brother was born.

I really like the way our first names work together. They’re all Irish, even though no one in my family is. After naming me [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] and my brother [name_m]Colton[/name_m], my mom wanted my sister to be [name_f]Samantha[/name_f], but my father convinced her that they had to keep with the Irish names, and they fell in love with [name_u]Teagan[/name_u]

I’m [name_f]Marta[/name_f] [name_f]Aleksandra[/name_f] and my 6-years-younger sister is [name_f]Aleksandra[/name_f] [name_f]Dominika[/name_f].
My mom just loved the name [name_f]Aleksandra[/name_f] so much that when she figured out she’s having another girl she wouldn’t find any other name she liked as much; so [name_f]Aleksandra[/name_f] just stuck. I was always laughing that it’s my mum’s favorite name ever and she’d always be a little bit embarrassed and reply to me that she loves my first name equally as much
My father wanted to name me Konstancja (eng. [name_f]Constance[/name_f]), and my grandfather wanted a [name_f]Justyna[/name_f] ([name_f]Justine[/name_f]).
My mom’s GP was Scholastyka (ufff lucky me!). My grandma (mom’s mom) was happy with [name_f]Marta[/name_f].
[name_f]Dominika[/name_f] was chosen by my sister’s father.
Bonus: if either me or my sister were a boy, we would be named [name_m]Bartosz[/name_m] (don’t know about the middle).
I always thought my mom kind of wasted a spot, but that’s how it is and I don’t give it that much attention any more.

[name_f]Meghan[/name_f] [name_f]Rita[/name_f] ([name_f]Rita[/name_f] after my paternal grandmother)
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] (he’s a junior)
[name_f]Brianne[/name_f] [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [[name_f]Bree[/name_f]-in is how we say it] (My mom saw [name_f]Brianne[/name_f] on a game show and liked it. Or so the story goes!)
[name_f]Dianne[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] (I share the same name with my aunt, but I’m not named after her. Sure, Mom, keep telling yourself that!)

[name_f]Angelica[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f] - me, named 2 weeks after I was born, my mom stole my unmarried uncle’s favorite girls name. She is a famous Mexican soap opera actress.

[name_f]Karla[/name_f] [name_f]Yvette[/name_f] - No meanings, just liked both names

Mariaelena Robles - My dad liked my mom’s name which is [name_f]Maria[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f] (two words) and she always hated that everyone called her [name_f]Maria[/name_f], so she smooshed them together for my sister. Who now goes by [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. Her middle is my mom’s maiden name.

Twins: [name_m]Adalberto[/name_m] Robles & [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - [name_m]Adalberto[/name_m] is my dad’s name (we ALL voted against this because of pronunciation issues) and my mom just loves this name. [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] was going to be either [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] or [name_f]Ana[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f], but we all voted and [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] won. Brother’s middle is mom’s maiden name and [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is for [name_f]Maria[/name_f].

I am not a huge fan of any of the names, but we do flow well together as a sibset. My son is [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] and I am expecting in [name_u]December[/name_u] another boy, probably to be named [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m].

From oldest to youngest:

[name_f]Diane[/name_f] [name_f]Geraldine[/name_f]- [name_f]Diane[/name_f] was a name that my parents both liked, and [name_f]Geraldine[/name_f] was the name of one of my aunts.

[name_f]Carla[/name_f] [name_f]Ann/name_f- [name_f]Carla[/name_f] was chosen just because they thought it went well with [name_f]Diane[/name_f], and [name_f]Ann[/name_f] was the name of my mother’s sort of “adopted grandmother”. She was a widow without kids, and my mom really took a fancy to her. They grew very close. She passed away days after my mother found out she was expecting again.

[name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]- [name_m]Robert[/name_m] is my father’s name, and [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] meant “bearing [name_m]Christ[/name_m]” which my parents liked. It was also a family name on my mother’s side.

[name_u]Shelby[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]- [name_u]Shelby[/name_u] was just a name they liked, [name_f]Grace[/name_f] was because my mother really loved the hymn “Amazing [name_f]Grace[/name_f]”

I wouldn’t use any of the combos nowadays, but they all have special meaning to my parents. : )

[name_m]Grantham[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] ( [name_m]Grantham[/name_m] because they liked it and [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] is my dad’s name)

[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Cait[/name_f]- ME ( [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] after my great grandma Madalena Adalena Loracceli and [name_f]Cait[/name_f] for my Gaelic heritage)

[name_m]Ethan[/name_m] [name_m]Hector[/name_m] ( [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] was my dad’s best friends middle name and [name_m]Hector[/name_m] after my grandpa)

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] ([name_f]Isabel[/name_f] was the only name they could agree on and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] was my granny’s name)

[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] ([name_m]Patrick[/name_m] was for Gaelic herritage)

[name_m]Remington[/name_m] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] ([name_m]Remington[/name_m] after the [name_m]Gun[/name_m] and [name_f]Frances[/name_f] was some great uncle or something)

My parents named my older sister [name_f]Brittany[/name_f] Merrelle, simply because it was pretty. It is a lovely name, but they always joke about her having trouble spelling her name as a child. So, when I was born, I was given the name [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]McKenzie[/name_f]. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] was a win-win because it was the name of my beloved great-grandmother and easy to spell. [name_f]McKenzie[/name_f] was picked as my middle name because my sister insisted that [name_f]Kate[/name_f] was too bland. (I agree, honestly.)
