I forgot a couple! These aren’t nicknames exactly, more like “things that characters get called that aren’t their full names”.
Theo is technically named Thelonious (his dad called him that when he was mad at him) (it occurred to me recently that I actually have two characters who think they killed their parent(s) in fires, yikes).
Rhys called Pax by his full name when he really wanted his attention, which is Paxton Averill Morrow, and it taught Pax to pay attention to Rhys because he really didn’t want the entire universe to know that he was really called Paxton (not that that’s not a good name, it just doesn’t suit him as much and it’s a lot more normal).
Rhys doesn’t have a middle name, so Pax made one up for when he wanted his attention, so his full name ended up being Rhys Dragon Tower, which is an epic middle name, especially since it came about because Pax thought Rhys was “almost as cool as a dragon”, which is a very high compliment in the mind of a nine-and-a-half-year-old.
A long explanation of why Taz calls Mir ki'Nayaor that's very sweet but also involves discussion of changeling patronymics and other such headaches.
Both Mir and Taz are named after mythological demigods, Miriez ki’Salnai Nayaor (Miriez, child of Salnai, deity of the ocean) and Tazrië ki’Esuna Lúeron (Tazrië, child of Esuna, the deity of the moon). There’s a whole thing about changeling patronymics that gives the parent who births you a lot of power, but Mir’s parent is dead, and they’re the leader of the changelings, which means that legally, their parent is the leader of the Order of the Throne. In this case, that’s Ix, who sucks, but legally Mir’s name is A’ta Mir ki’Jaed ki’Ix, which Mir is not pleased about. So Taz would call them ki’Nayaor, child of the ocean, which essentially means that no one really has power over them, which Mir really needed to hear.
Pronunciation (even though I doubt anyone cares)
Miriez = MEER-ee-ez
ki’Salnai = kee-sahl-NAH’ee (it’s mostly like ‘nye’ but sort of different sounds)
Nayaor = NAH’ee-ah-orr
Tazrië = TAZ-ree-eh (the ‘eh’ is pretty much a short e sound, but a little like a long a, ‘ay’. The diaræsis functions similarly to Tolkien’s Elvish languages, separating the i and the e into distinct vowel sounds, if you’re curious.)
ki’Esuna = kee-eh-SOO-nah
Lúeron = LOO-eh-rohn (the accent means that the u and the e together are pronounced OO-eh, not oo’EH, which is pronounced essentially like ‘WEH’)
Ciro’s dad called her ‘little star’ when she was a child, not exactly because he actually thought of her that way, but more to complete the Celestial Triumvirate, since her name is Ciro Nocturne and Ciro means sun. People in this world are pretty emphatic about the Celestial Triumvirate. (Sun, moon, stars = gold, silver, bronze = pretty much anything else you can imagine, in that order. ‘Ciro Nocturne, little star’ fits the bill quite nicely.)
Essie and Jari, Ciro’s best friends, both have full names–Essie is short for Estiar, and Jari is short for something I haven’t decided yet (I’ll make a thread about it once I remember at the right time for once).
ETA Rhys and Mir are the same person, btw. Except they’re not, except they definitely are. It’s confusing even me, so I can only imagine how it must be for them (and I mean that in both a non-binary way and a plural way).

If he has a last name, he has never mentioned it. He has no middle name either. His parents kept him hidden from the world until he was around nine, when he set out on his own. He’s about 1/3 hedgehog due to a curse given to him before he was born. This has resulted in a lot of negative nicknames throughout his life.

[name_m]Gilderoy[/name_m] the golden retriever: Often called [name_m]Gil[/name_m].

[name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Newman[/name_m]: He’s the current spirit of rain and thunderstorms and, besides that, doesn’t really seem like an [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m]. So, he goes by [name_m]Iggy[/name_m].
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Janice[/name_f] [name_m]Brooks[/name_m]: Called [name_m]Alex[/name_m] by [name_m]Karter[/name_m], although she hates it.

[name_f]Salome[/name_f] goes by [name_f]May[/name_f]. She’s never liked her full name, and feels that it’s stuffy.
[name_m]Matthias[/name_m] was called [name_m]Matty[/name_m] in his childhood, though he never liked that nickname. In adulthood he tends to go by [name_f]Thia[/name_f].
