What Are Your Favorite GP Names?

What are your top guilty pleasure names?

Mine:
[name_m]Othello[/name_m]
[name_f]Vienna[/name_f] – not really a guilty pleasure as it’s perfectly usable, it just doesn’t fit with any other names I have picked out, so I’d never use it.
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f] – same as [name_f]Vienna[/name_f]

These aren’t really GPs but I can’t use them due to family/personal reasons;

[name_u]Shelby[/name_u]
[name_u]Jordan[/name_u]/[name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] (g)
[name_f]Makayla[/name_f]
[name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Katelyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Catelynn[/name_f]

And actual GPs;

[name_u]Saylor[/name_u]
[name_u]Bristol[/name_u]
Kaylianna
Aliannah
Ensley
Eisley
Brittannie
Kaleigha
Jayliana

Using the ‘too weird’ GPs rather than the too popular ones, because they’re more interesting lol:
Arsinoë
Cadmium
Belladonna
[name_f]Medeia[/name_f]
Pompeia
Evangelise
Valkyrie

[name_m]Sherlock[/name_m]
[name_m]Icarus[/name_m]
[name_f]Alchemy[/name_f]
Mordred

Mine are probably Macheath, [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] and Gwenllian or Gwenonwy.

I like the name [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], and even a nn for it… [name_f]Aggie[/name_f]. But it’s extremely uncommon nowadays. I find [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] pretty as well.

Some other GP names:
[name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] (or the female version, [name_u]Laurence[/name_u])
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] (seems more timeless to me than 1990s)
Anything starting with a Z, even if it’s tacked onto names that traditionally begin with a different letter… [name_m]Zavier[/name_m], [name_m]Zander[/name_m], etc.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] gonna say, [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] and [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] are absolutely adorable!!! Totally ripe for a comeback. I love them both, but can’t use due to my extremely unique choices for my 2 kids.

[name_m]Lloyd[/name_m] (I am obsessed with this name lately, don’t know why)
Imzadi (It’s a [name_f]Star[/name_f] Trek thing, love it, but my ex, father of my 2, and I had it picked for a future daughter, and I’m remarried so it wouldn’t be right)
[name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] (same as above)
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] (I adore it, husband doesn’t)
pretty much all Victorian/super frilly/super classic names - can’t use because they don’t fit my established style/pattern, which is okay because I love what I have going on  I use up all those GP names in my sims games!!

I know someone with a daughter named [name_f]Medea[/name_f]!! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. She has a younger sister named [name_f]Athena[/name_f].

[name_m]Talon[/name_m]
[name_m]Helios[/name_m]

Such an amazing sibset! I adore [name_f]Athena[/name_f], but I wish I could convince myself that most wouldn’t jump to the myth with [name_f]Medea[/name_f]. Luckily [name_f]Amadea[/name_f] exists!

Girls
[name_f]Olivet[/name_f]
[name_f]Phaedra[/name_f]

[name_f]Theophania[/name_f]
[name_f]Antigone[/name_f]
Armistice
Eilonwy
[name_f]Jubilee[/name_f] (my parents would definitely hate it if I used this, because of the Duggars)
[name_f]Nimue[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilium[/name_f]

Boys:
Daryun (dar-YOON)
Arslan
Eddard
Stannis (I hate the character, but like his name)
[name_m]Henryk[/name_m]
[name_m]Perseus[/name_m]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m]
[name_m]Septimus[/name_m]
[name_m]Lazarus[/name_m]

I have lots, but lately:

[name_f]Zenobia[/name_f]/[name_f]Zenobie[/name_f]
[name_f]Xaviera[/name_f]
[name_f]Corisande[/name_f]
[name_f]Myfanwy[/name_f]

[name_f]EDIT[/name_f]: Now that I think about it, I would probably still use these as middles. Does that still make them GPs?

For now, Blueberry and [name_f]Sonata[/name_f] are at the forefront for girls. :stuck_out_tongue: I’d also put unisex names (like [name_u]Addison[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f], and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]) on this list, as I have a strict no-unisex girls’ policy (at least up front).

For boys, I’m not even sure, because I can never remember what they are until someone’s not asking me, and then I think, “Oh, that’s such a GP of mine!” The only one coming to mind is Aristarchus, a rare Biblical name, or maybe some unisex names I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] for boys, like [name_u]Addison[/name_u], [name_u]Bailey[/name_u], or [name_u]Harper[/name_u]. ([name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] are also unisex, but I’d totally use them for a son.)

[name_f]Oona[/name_f]. Personally a little too out there for me but I still love it! Also, English and Wildflower. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] names, but not common word names at all.

Woah! I just love that you have [name_f]Theofania[/name_f] on this list.

[name_f]Ione[/name_f]
[name_m]Leander[/name_m]

[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]
[name_m]Howie[/name_m]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_u]America[/name_u]
[name_f]Liberty[/name_f]
[name_m]Oxford[/name_m]
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m]

[name_f]Thomasin[/name_f] and [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f]- love these feminisations but doubt they’d be very wearable. I also adore [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] though, which could work!
[name_f]Gertrude[/name_f]- Absolutely love her, and nn [name_f]Gertie[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Mildred[/name_f] and [name_f]Bertha[/name_f], and [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] and [name_f]Patricia[/name_f].
[name_f]Gaia[/name_f]- stunning, but too out-there?
Also the more obscure flower names like [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f], [name_f]Camellia[/name_f].
Finally the virtue names [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_f]Patience[/name_f] and [name_f]Prudence[/name_f].

[name_f]Muirgheal[/name_f]/[name_f]Muriel[/name_f] [name_f]Siobhan[/name_f] ([name_f]Miri[/name_f]) and [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] ([name_f]Dot[/name_f]). I love the combination of [name_f]Miri[/name_f] and [name_f]Dot[/name_f].

I also really love [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] ([name_f]Mira[/name_f] or [name_f]Miri[/name_f] or [name_f]Mimi[/name_f]).

I’m currently loving [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] and [name_m]Rufus[/name_m]. My previous favourites were [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m].
