Question is self-explanatory
[name_f]Doveva[/name_f] [name_f]Alba[/name_f] is adorable. [name_f]Amoret[/name_f] is another favorite.
From boys’ names I like Odilon, it’s different.
Least favorite is definitely [name_f]Allegra[/name_f]. That will always be an antihistamine to me.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] all your boy names! The firsts are all on my list except [name_m]Charles[/name_m] since we have an uncle [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. Combos are nice
For girls- agree w pp that Allergra reminds me of the medication.
Between [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] I prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]- sounds more sophisticated to me. That’s my favorite!
I also love [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], and [name_f]Sonora[/name_f].
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] stands out as more “plain” compared to your others.
Personally don’t care for [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] or that spelling of [name_f]Aimee[/name_f].
Does [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] count? Very sweet.
I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Aziza[/name_f], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Thoreau[/name_m], and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] Odilon ([name_u]LOVE[/name_u] Odilon and [name_f]Odile[/name_f]). And I love the individual names [name_f]Allegra[/name_f], [name_f]Amandine[/name_f], Aimée, [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_m]Rainer[/name_m], and [name_m]Solomon[/name_m].
My least favorites are [name_f]Allegra[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] ([name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Allegra[/name_f], but I don’t like it with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] for flow) and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] (lovely name but I am personally not a fan of [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]).
I’ve never heard of Esmeree before! Is it pronounced like Esmerée with the accent aigu?
So it’s actually not a [name_m]French[/name_m] name but a Welsh (or perhaps English) name! But I suspect it’s [name_m]French[/name_m] influenced? It comes from a rather obscure character in Arthurian legend, [name_f]Queen[/name_f] Esmeree the Blonde (you can find her in a few books and websites, here’s one: EBK: Arthurian Literature: Sir Guinglain, Le Bel Inconnu). I have no idea how it would be pronounced and have looked online for years but to no avail, so I’ve been pronounce it ES-mah-ray, like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Renee[/name_f]. (And yes. I am well aware of the Twilight implications of that. And how silly is [name_f]Stephenie[/name_f] [name_m]Meyer[/name_m] for making up a name like [name_f]Renesmee[/name_f] when she had the lovely, real name Esmeree just waiting for her?)
Thank you! I’m only starting to get into the Arthurian legends so this is amazing!
I like a lot of them. My favourites would be:
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Sonora[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] ([name_u]Sunny[/name_u]) and Aimée [name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Thoreau[/name_m], [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m]
I know it’s a girl forum, but I just need to say [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Thoreau[/name_m] is so handsome and dreamy.
Anyway, my favourite from your list is [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]. There are a bunch of individual names that I love more, but as a combo I like this one best, I think. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Aziza[/name_f] and [name_f]Allegra[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] are also lovely. They’re just balanced between common classic and more unexpected ones. Pretty.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f]

[name_f]Alba[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] seeing this name!
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] - I’m a little unsure of [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] but I lean toward liking it. It feels very grand. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f].
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
[name_f]Aziza[/name_f] - Such a fun, zippy name.
[name_f]Honora[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Amoret[/name_f] to some extent too but together the combo feels too love-y and honor-y
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f] - though I dislike double-barrel names
[name_f]Sonora[/name_f]
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]

[name_m]Henry[/name_m]

[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] - I adore [name_m]Felix[/name_m]!
Dislikes:
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] - a little frilly for my taste
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Doveva[/name_f]
Esmeree - I read in the thread that it has a basis but it does feel very made up
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - have never liked the name
[name_f]Amandine[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - I want to like this name but it screams evangelical to me
[name_f]Aimee[/name_f] - feels dated as it is so close to [name_f]Amy[/name_f]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Thoreau[/name_m]
[name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]
Odilon
Overall my favorites are [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Rainer[/name_m] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]! It feels so romantic and lyrical :). (I also love your furbaby’s name [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]!)
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] is also pretty great. And [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] [name_u]Sequoia[/name_u] is definitely my favorite from your boys list.
The only name on your list I can’t stand is [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. I don’t know why but I’ve never liked it.
I’ve never considered [name_m]Sylvan[/name_m] as a name (I keep thinking about Dragon Age). I think it could grow on me but I think, personally, I’d be more likely to use it for a girl than a boy, probably due to it’s similarity to [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].
I love:
[name_f]Allegra[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Doveva[/name_f] [name_f]Alba[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Aziza[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
Haha, I think you have the wrong person! Those aren’t the names in my signature
