I found out today that I’m having a baby girl! She’s my first baby so I’m going into this completely blind and it’s kinda scary but I’m also getting mroe and more excited every day
I’ve been thinking of names recently and I could use some opinions on them because I like old-fashioned, kind of less used names. It’s a short list right now:
Right now [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] is my favourite.
[name_f]Enid[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f], after my mama
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
I have a love/hate relationship with [name_f]Nicole[/name_f]. One one hand it’s classic and it’s a really pretty name, but on the other I’ve known [name_m]Nicoles[/name_m] that are just awful people and… yeah.
And there’s the name Allifair, which I can’t find on this site. I don’t know where I heard that name but I really love it, probably for the middle.
What do you guys think? And do you have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Congrats! I like [name_f]Enid[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] a lot. [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] is cute, but a bit dated–I think you could be ahead of the curve on bringing it back though. [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] i feel is too dated right now… not yet vintage like the other.
I have heard of Allifair before only it was spelled Alifair. I think it sounds pretty and kind of whimsical. It also reminds me of the boys name [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] so I think I would use it as a middle rather than a first name.
From your list I also like [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] the most for the very reason that it is not so common these days. I also think the nickname [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is great. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] are too populair for my taste so would be middle name material.
I love [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f]! It’s so sweet and also it has a confident feel. The nn [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is jaunty and friendly, but also sleek and cool. [name_f]Jeanie[/name_f] is an adorable nickname.
Second, I like [name_f]Enid[/name_f]. It has a lot going for it. Great meaning, intriguing, simple yet original. I think that it could also seem chic and worldly on the right woman. To me it’s the closest name there is to [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]… a “geeky” mythological name made extremely cool by the right person.
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is a very plain name and it will be shortened to [name_f]Addy[/name_f]/[name_f]Addie[/name_f] along with all the other [name_u]Addison[/name_u]/[name_f]Addisyn[/name_f]/Adelaides out there. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] has no originaity, imo. Especially since that film The Age of [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] was released it will continue to rise in popularity. Strong dislike. If you truly love it, consider it as for a middle. [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] has a pretty ring to it.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is very lovely! [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] would be an amazing name!
I really, really don’t like [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f]. It feels totally dated imo, like [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Danielle[/name_f].
On the other hand, I like [name_f]Enid[/name_f], I like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] a lot and I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]!
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is a lovely name, with a cute nn that can be sweet ([name_u]Clemmie[/name_u]) or strong ([name_u]Clem[/name_u]).
