[name_f]Do[/name_f] you know anyone named [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]? What is your overall opinion of the name? Some people I’ve mentioned the name to have never even heard of it. I think the name dates back to the 17th century but I guess it hasn’t been used that much until recent years. Would you consider it a classic name? Thank you!
I quite like it, and I know a few, two being 20+, and one under 3. I wouldn’t quite consider it a classic name (as I would [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f], for example), but it’s not trendy or overly modern either.
I don’t particularly like the name or the person I know accociated with it… but it’s your choice to use it or not!
I like it and I tend to be a fan of virtue names. There is a 2nd century saint with that name so I’d say it’s a less common classic.
I have known a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], I think it is a pretty name!
I absolutely adore the name [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and let me tell you why. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is the name of a little girl when I was about 14 and she 1 or so. I only ever see her each year at a youth camp her parents lead on but she grew really attached to me the first year, so ever since I have had the privilege of watching her grow up. She’s about 5 or 6 now. She is the sweetest girl I’ve ever met and has the same sass as myself so we just clicked. I love her to bits and she’s not even my sister! Her name is [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] and I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] her name. She sometimes goes by City or Fliss but usually just [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. She is the reason [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is in my signature :).
I like it. Not my style, but it’s vibrant and sweet. My mom is named [name_f]Felicia[/name_f] and she’s talked before about how she thinks [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] has a prettier sounds and kind of wishes that’s what her mom had picked.
There was a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] in one of my college classes, but that’s the only time I’ve met someone with the name in person.
I know a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], who is the mother of a dear friend. That said, this is the reason for my hugely negative association with this name, so I am certainly biased against it. However, I like that it is a virtue name, consider it a classic, and think it would make a nice name for a girl today.
I like it, but I’ve never met one. It’s a pretty name, but I find it kind of a mouthful, so if there was one in my family she would probably end up with a nickname.
I love [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! In general I like F names and it has a lovely sound.
I would consider it a classic but not over used.
I’ve known 3 Felicitys; one is my mums friend (aprox 65) she has the nickname Fizz, a friend’s sister (late 20s)and has the nickname Fliss, another a girl my age (31) and has the nickname [name_f]Flick[/name_f]
I like it! It’s frilly but fun. I’ve never met one though
I love [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! It’s so joyful. Elegant with cute spunky nicknames. It’s perfect!
I don’t believe I’ve ever met anyone with the name.
I consider [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] more vintage than classic. Classic adjacent if you will.
I think [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is very pretty and light, and I love the virtue meaning. I don’t think it’s “classic” but it certainly has history.
I’ve only ever met one [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - a gurl I used to work with. We called her [name_f]Flick[/name_f] though. I’m not a big fan of the name… just don’t like the way it sounds.

I adore [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! I don’t know one personally, although I’ve heard it once in passing–I work in a restaurant and occasionally hear parents calling their kiddos.
I’m in love with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f]. Although so many names are pretty with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]!
I wouldn’t call it classic per se, but more timeless? Classic, to me, is something that never goes out of style–like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], etc. I wouldn’t even call [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], or [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] classic, although I know many do! But I would call [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] timeless–a gorgeous name with oodles of history and class, and just as beautiful today as it must’ve been 300 years ago!
I would love to meet, know, or HAVE a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], honestly–it’s one of the most beautiful names I know!
I don’t know anyone with the name, and did like it until my mum put me off (she used to work with a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and always called her facility by accident). It’s a nice name and I like the nickname Fliss. I wouldn’t consider it a classic, no.
I like it. Not my style but a good name with history.
It’s okay. NMS. It’s my mum’s middle name.
I am very biased but I like it. I use the nickname [name_u]Flip[/name_u], but have also had Fliss, Lis and [name_f]Flick[/name_f] from other people. I’m mid-thirties and have only ever been at school with one other (a very large school).
