What are your thoughts on the name Teal?

I have just heard this name and have fallen in love, what are your honest thoughts?

I think if you love it then go for it! nickname could be Teally which sounds like tilly which I always thought was cute

I think itā€™s pretty cool - the colour teal is lovely and Iā€™ve seen the name on a TV show character as well, whom the name really suited.

Could you find the colour in a different language? personally not a name for me.

I like it but I really love the name Teila!

Is that said like ā€˜teeā€™ - ā€˜laā€™

One of my good friends growing up had [name_u]Teal[/name_u] as her middle name, so while sound wise itā€™s not my personal style, I think as a name itā€™s just fine.

I agree with @AshLoss .I like the sound of Teila or Teilia better. :relaxed:

[name_u]Teal[/name_u] was actually an unexpected suggestion when I was pregnant because I love the color. I picked a more traditional name, because Iā€™m not quite brave enough for [name_u]Teal[/name_u], but I still have a sweat spot for it, and I think itā€™s no more ā€œout thereā€ than a lot of names used these days.

Iā€™ve actually been thinking about this name recently too! Thereā€™s a (male) soccer player named [name_u]Teal[/name_u] Bunbury who I think of but I really like the name for all genders. Itā€™s sleek and fun, with a beachy vibe!

I really really like it! I havenā€™t found the right combination for her but I could totally see it on a daughter of mine :yellow_heart:

I love [name_u]Teal[/name_u]! Not the color especially, but the word/name. I have this fantasy name for a boy of [name_u]Moroccan[/name_u] [name_u]Teal[/name_u] because I love how it sounds, but it would be beautiful on a girl too. Great, unexpected middle.

[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was to use full name Tenneal (which I think has multiple spellings) and have [name_u]Teal[/name_u] as a nickname.
