The last name will be [name_m]Kumar[/name_m], and we are [name_f]Indian[/name_f] living in the US. The starred ones are my favorites. If you have any other suggestions please give them to me. The names we can’t use are Sunjay, [name_u]Kiran[/name_u], [name_m]Krishav[/name_m], and [name_f]Ariya[/name_f].
avi might get a “are you jewish?” often, though, if that wouldnt bother you.
noah is a “safe” american choice, an established, known name. it stands out amongst most of the names, it might require thinking about what direction you’d like to go with a sibset, if you plan on more kids. noah and avi would definitely scream hebrew-jewish, rohan and noah are similar, but the other’s are so unexpected in the u.s. it would create a much different experience.
reyan is lovely, and indian, right? it would get mispronounced and mistaken as ‘ryan’, but it seems like a great name with nice meaning.
rohan i see is one of your favorites, rohan kumar is very handsome, i don’t see any reason not to go for it.
can’t say i have indian names to suggest, but maybe some other thoughts:
nolan
yohan
rio
rune
aviel
ari
ara
arlo
theo
roland
jonah
logan
oakland
noam
I agree, they’re nice! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is probably [name_u]Rohan[/name_u]. What a shame about [name_u]Kiran[/name_u], I really love that one too. [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is a little bland imo, and Ronav might be mistaken for [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] especially when handwritten. Other than that, I don’t think you can really do wrong with any of these!
I love [name_u]Avi[/name_u] the most from your list. It’s unexpected but easy to say & spell. [name_u]Avi[/name_u] [name_m]Kumar[/name_m] sounds great too.
[name_u]Niam[/name_u] is my second favorite, because it’s a great balance of strong & handsome but feels sensitive & interesting. Pronunciation may be tricky, but worth it for such a cool name.
[name_m]Reyan[/name_m] & [name_u]Rohan[/name_u] are both perfectly nice, but I don’t like them as much as the other two. Not sure why. Ronav looks off to me; like [name_u]Rohan[/name_u] (or [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], the [name_u]Irish[/name_u] name) but not quite. I may just not be used to it.
That brings us to [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. I think it’s a lovely classic name & sounds nice with [name_m]Kumar[/name_m]. It’s just so popular though is the only downside.
[name_u]Rohan[/name_u] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] are both really nice. They have a similar sound and go well your last name It’s just a matter of if you want an [name_f]Indian[/name_f] name or an American name
I also love [name_u]Avi[/name_u]! And I don’t think people would ask if he’s Jewish.
The last three I’ve never seen before, but I like Ronav a lot! I love v’s in a name And that one I knew immediately how to pronounce, for the other two I’m unsure
[name_u]Rohan[/name_u] is my favorite from your list! I like [name_u]Niam[/name_u] and Ronav, too. Also funnily enough, I know a [name_u]Kiran[/name_u] [name_m]Kumar[/name_m]!
