This is speculative as Iām not naming a baby, (for now)
I am quite liking the combination of Verity Faith at the moment.
Faith, would be a significant choice for me. Not in terms of religion or god but with respect to having a faith in oneās abilities and oneself. Which is something I should practice and I feel like this is translatable in terms of my TTC journey and in naming a prospective daughter.
Verity has always been a love of mine and I love how uncommon it is. I could probably list a million reasons why I love the name but, alasā¦ I wonāt lol.
But Truth and Faith?? Is this quite āheavyā or seriousā¦ ( Iām talking about name meanings here)
I am happy to receive constructive feedback but yes or no responses are not very helpful.
Thanks
Updated. I didnāt mean the actual names Truth and Faith. I just added those in the title meaning that, the name combo literally means Truth and Faith.

I think itās a bit much [name_u]Truth[/name_u] still had the same meaning that you are looking for IMO! WDYT of Fay(e)?
I like both names seperately, but two expectancy names (I forgot the term for it) together Iām not really a fan of.

Both feel very established as names to me so even though theyāre obviously words, I donāt think itās too much. I love the meaning.

Verity Faith is such a beautiful name! I think those are such nice names with sweet meanings. Theyāre more thoughtful reminders and guidances than crazy names to live up to. So pretty.

I forget that [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is a virtue name. Iāve never read the word verity anywhere that I can recall. Although I am well aware of its meaning, I find I associate it with āvelvetyā more than truth! As others have said, [name_f]Faith[/name_f] is also really well established as a name, and for these reasons [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f] just sounds like a lovely name rather than puritanical. Itās nice that itās loaded with meaning for you, though.

Also just want to add that rather than āseriousā, I find [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f] a lively and joyful combo!

Iām on the fence about this.
If it was only that the name meant true faith, that would be one thing. However, with both [name_f]Verity[/name_f] and [name_f]Faith[/name_f] being word names, the meaning immediately jumps out. It does feel intentional and possibly religious. It doesnāt sound like thatās what youāre going for, so in that sense, it might be a little heavy. (For context, [name_f]Verity[/name_f] isnāt as established a name in my area as it may be in yours, so that may change things! )
On the other hand, itās not a negative meaning by any means. Additionally, itās not as if the first and the middle name are always said together, and not everyone uses the word āverityā frequently. I donāt think itās serious; in fact, itās a bright combination!
TLDR; It could read as intentional, but itās not a terrible or overly heavy combination.

Thank you for the feedback. It is good to get perspective.
I am in the UK. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is a very underused and uncommon name from where I am. But itās not unfamiliar if that makes sense? I also think, as others have suggested it is perhaps not the most obvious virtue name, as some others we do hear.
[name_f]Prudence[/name_f], [name_f]Charity[/name_f], [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], for instance, all strike me as obvious virtue names. [name_f]Faith[/name_f] is obvious too but I donāt feel like [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is so much. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] taken from the Latin Veritas. [name_f]Verity[/name_f], makes me think of [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], in as much as they do feel more substantial and more established ānamesā and less wordy than the ones I listed above.
I do take your point about it being an obvious name combination. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you feel like that this may be the case for nameberries, that they could interpret the combo this way? Rather than say, upon first hearing of the name (without being a lover of names)? I say this politely, in as much as, we nameberries tend to be pretty clued up on name meanings and etymology behind names.
What concerns me is that it does feel religious, when in actual fact I am not particularly religious. I donāt want to look like I am emphasising a religious point. I am one of these who happen to love the biblical, virtue and puritan names. I donāt know why. I just feel like most of these naming styles are beautiful. [name_f]My[/name_f] boys have Hebrew and Greek names.
I think I also find the long emphasis on the A in a middle name, paired with [name_f]Verity[/name_f] very cohesive and appealing. For example I do really like
[name_f]May[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f]
Yet these ironically also feel like deliberate and predictable middle name choices with [name_f]Verity[/name_f].
While this is often the case with name nerds (though Iām not as clued into meanings as many on the site!), I do use verity as a word, so in this case, itās wordy to me regardless of interest in etymology.
I definitely wouldnāt automatically assume someone using names tied to faith are religious! Itās just a connection.
I think itās lovely sounding! (Itās really just the meaning that trips me up.)

I think the fact [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is such a well established name, I think you could get away with it. It sounds really nice as a combo

I will admit that I did immediately notice the wordy connection. But the nice thing is that I donāt think many people will ā most people arenāt name nerds, after all, and might find Verity unfamiliar as a name, all the more so as a word.
And I donāt find it heavy or serious at all! Both truth and faith feel like light, fairy-like virtues, if that makes sense. They are pure and sweet in meaning as well as in sound. Verity and Faith do not sound heavy like, say, Prudence or Temperance.
I love Verity, and I think that Verity Faith works fine, despite the meaning. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I like it.
