Nice list!
[name]Adelaide[/name]- [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name]!!! I would use this except that my inlaws can’t pronounce it nicely
[name]Tabitha[/name]: [name]LOVE[/name]! I like the meaning (gazelle) and I like the character in the Bible (she died and the whole community mourned her because she helped everyone and made clothing for her neighbours etc. -and one of the disciples of [name]Jesus[/name] had compassion on the community and raised her from the dead!)
after that, I can’t decide between [name]Aurelia[/name], [name]Gwendolen[/name] (prefer [name]Gwendolyn[/name]), [name]Aurora[/name] or [name]Bethany[/name]. Although, I know quite a few Bethanys who are all teens now. I think it was a really popular name around here about 15 years ago, but I still like it.
Names I’m not a fan of: [name]Aislinn[/name] is the pen name of the editorial cartoonist in the local paper; [name]Clover[/name] sounds like a rabbit’s name to me; [name]Rosemary[/name] & [name]Patricia[/name] sound like middle-aged women to me & [name]Lavender[/name] is just nms.
Thanks,
[name]Saskia[/name]
[name]Ayelet[/name]
[name]Lavender[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name], [name]Magnolia[/name], [name]Gwendolen[/name].
[name]Rosemary[/name], [name]Marigold[/name], and [name]Sabrina[/name] are probably my favourite top three with no spelling or pronunciation issues. I like many others on your list too though.
[name]Ayelet[/name] - I like this if you are using the eye-yell-it pronunciation, but I’ve heard people online say they want to use eye-let and that doesn’t do anything for me.
[name]Magnolia[/name] - There is a 3 syllable and a 4 syllable pronunciation each in use. I don’t favour one over the other too much but it does change the effect.
[name]Aislinn[/name] - Is gorgeous, but the pronunciation is likely to often get slaughtered.
I really love [name]Ayelet[/name], [name]Magnolia[/name], and [name]Aislinn[/name] too so I basically had two different top threes depending on if they’re viewed just on prettiness (or can be middle names) or if they have to be practical first names.
Suggestions:
I am not as fond of [name]Lavender[/name] as I am of [name]Violet[/name] (though it’s more common), [name]Viola[/name], [name]Lilac[/name], or [name]Indigo[/name]. Though I admit it’s pretty random I love [name]Lilac[/name] and am meh on [name]Lavender[/name] and you might feel exactly the reverse.
I noticed [name]Savannah[/name] on your list, have you considered [name]Susannah[/name]?
A particular [name]Patricia[/name] has ruined [name]Patricia[/name] for me forever, but I rather like [name]Letitia[/name] & [name]Felicia[/name] or alternately [name]Petra[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], and [name]Prudence[/name]. I could see [name]Penelope[/name] becoming popular but the others seem content to linger in obscurity and Victorian adventure fiction. (Which is where I fell in love with them).
I love [name]Lilac[/name], I am not sure about it having enough substance for a first name. I am strongly considering it in the middle spot. I like [name]Susannah[/name] but I like [name]Savannah[/name] more. I do worry about [name]Savannah[/name]'s popularity. I love the nn Savy. I love Savy so much I might use it as a nickname for [name]Sabrina[/name]. I know [name]Patricia[/name] is dated but it is a much loved family name on both sides. I struggle with wanting to use it and not wanting to use it. [name]Penelope[/name] was a number one name for my SO until Kourtny Kardashian used it. He crossed it off the list completely after she used it, won’t even consider it in the middle spot.
[name]Aurora[/name]- You can use the nn [name]Rory[/name]!
[name]Colette[/name]-On my favorites list! [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Cosette[/name]? They are all good replacements for [name]Charlotte[/name].
[name]Sabrina[/name]-[name]Just[/name] started liking this one.
I do like [name]Cosette[/name] because of fond memories of [name]Les[/name] Misérables, it’s uncommon usage, the girliness (& nn Cosy), and the fact that it is seen as a female form of [name]Nicholas[/name] (my SO’s name). I’m hesitent to use it in the FN spot because of the international opinion of the name. It’s on my long list Another really awesome replacement for [name]Charlotte[/name] that another [name]Berry[/name] suggested on a separate post is [name]Liselotte[/name].
My favourites are [name]Rosemary[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name] and [name]Aurelia[/name]. Nice list!
