Can anyone think of a more feminine name that could be shortened to [name_u]Cody[/name_u]?
I love [name_u]Cody[/name_u] for the daughter we’re expecting, but a lot of ppl seem to strongly dislike it and especially for a girl so I’m worried she’ll resent us for it.
If there’s a name like [name_u]Dakota[/name_u] or [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] (but not those names) that could shorten to [name_u]Cody[/name_u] so she has options - that might solve the problem.
Please tell me if anything comes to mind
Maybe [name_f]Colinda[/name_f] or [name_f]Corinda[/name_f]? [name_f]Scotland[/name_f], [name_f]Coetta[/name_f], [name_f]Corisande[/name_f], or [name_f]Condoleezza[/name_f] could possibly work too.
Another way to get [name_u]Cody[/name_u] would be to use any Co- first name and a middle name that starts with D, like [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], or [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f].
I don’t dislike [name_u]Cody[/name_u] for a girl. As a full name, I prefer it on a boy, but I think it makes a cool, spunky and sweet name for a girl too. You could use it as a full name with a feminine middle with no problem.
[name_u]Cody[/name_u] is cute.

I would honestly say that it doesn’t matter what other people say. It’s your daughter, and her name will become who she is and she won’t be able to be known as anything else!
[name_u]Cody[/name_u] on its own is so nice. But [name_f]Corisande[/name_f] is the niceest alt i’ve seen suggested for it.
[name_m]Koda[/name_m] sounds really close, so I’m going to suggest that.
Codette is the only thing I can think of!

Another name I recently heard as a female name is [name_u]Corin[/name_u]. I think having a girl named cody is cute, yet spunky as a teen, and interesting as an adult If she wants a more professional name can use Coda, or [name_u]Damaris[/name_u] or [name_f]Dyan[/name_f]. Best of luck!
