[name]Adam[/name] - One of my younger brother’s best friends. He is a successful business man, handsome and happily married. There is also an [name]Adam[/name] on my son’s soccer team who has brown hair and you never know if you are going to get nice [name]Adam[/name] or smart mouth [name]Adam[/name]. [name]Love[/name] the name though.
[name]Nathan[/name] - I love this name. I would name a child this. To me it is a strong name for a good person.
[name]Samuel[/name] - My husband’s name is [name]Samuel[/name] nn [name]Sam[/name] and my son’s middle name is [name]Samuel[/name]. So I am quite partial to this name. They are both very loving and sweet and strong…
[name]Luke[/name] - Soooo, this name reminds me a [name]Luke[/name] Skywalker heh. Which is not a bad thing!! It also brings to mind my male basset hound who was named [name]Luke[/name] by my son after [name]Luke[/name] Skywalker!!

[name]Adam[/name]: I picture a very handsome boy or man with light hair. To me, an [name]Adam[/name] is very distinguished and bright.
[name]Nathan[/name]: I picture a boy or man with dark hair and eyes. To me, a [name]Nathan[/name] is intellectual, kind, and quiet, while a [name]Nathaniel[/name] is intellectual, warm, handsome, and distinguished with an outgoing personality. (I have no idea why [name]Nathan[/name] and [name]Nathaniel[/name] feel so different to me…Hmm…I think they’re both great names.)
[name]Samuel[/name]: I think of a [name]Samuel[/name] as being very warm, outgoing, and lively.
[name]Luke[/name]: To me, a [name]Luke[/name] is very handsome, rugged, and athletic.

[name]Adam[/name]- I’ve never had good associations with this name, but that is merely because of my own life. It is a fine name. My connotations are too strong to give you an unbiased view of what the name “says”.
[name]Nathan[/name]- I think of someone athletic and outgoing. [name]Nate[/name] is a good-guy nn.
[name]Samuel[/name]- My favorite of your picks. I picture a [name]Samuel[/name] as being very tall (weird, I know!) . He is very friendly, a little on the quiet side, and handsome. I love the nn [name]Sam[/name]!
[name]Luke[/name]- A good guy. I don’t have a very strong mental image of appearance, or attitude, but he is friendly and handsome.

The four names are all lovely classic names. I really love the names [name]Luke[/name] and [name]Nathan[/name]. [name]Nathan[/name] makes me think of a handsome dark haired boy who plays lacrosse and is easy to laugh (maybe because I know one just like that.) I love the nn [name]Nate[/name]. For [name]Luke[/name] I always think of a blond. A sweet boy who is kind. I like the name [name]Samuel[/name] (although I dont really like [name]Sammy[/name].) It is hard for me to picture a child with this name. I don’t really have any picture in mind with the name [name]Adam[/name] other then the biblicial one.
All these names are true classics, I think, and are all lovely! These are my personal connotations of them:

[name]Nathan[/name] - A full [name]Nathan[/name] would be smart and reserved, well-liked and easy going. A [name]Nate[/name] is sportier, more outgoing and popular amongst his peers.
[name]Samuel[/name] - I see [name]Samuel[/name] as a thinker. Quiet, smart and full of great ideas. [name]Sam[/name] is a bit spunkier and has a boyish charm.
[name]Luke[/name] - my strongest association with this name is the character [name]Luke[/name] from [name]Gilmore[/name] Girls. [name]Luke[/name] to me is a bit rugged, but a very nice guy.
