What could Kit be a nickname for?

So I have [name_u]Kit[/name_u] on my now very short list (only 4 left!) if baby is a girl. I’m wondering if [name_u]Kit[/name_u] would be better of as a nickname though, but I haven’t found any names that I like that it could work for.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Kristina[/name_f], [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f], [name_f]Kristen[/name_f], [name_f]Kaitlin[/name_f] are out. Any other ideas???

I think [name_u]Kit[/name_u] a beautiful nn.

Some suggestions :

[name_u]Scout[/name_u] ( I have seen a birth announcement with [name_u]Scout[/name_u] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u])
[name_f]Catalina[/name_f]/[name_f]Katalina[/name_f]
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] ( if you are into boy names on girls)

And I am stucked. I will be back later if I think more

I think [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is a pretty standard nn for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/a and it’s variants.
I am partial to [name_f]Katinka[/name_f], [name_f]Katja[/name_f], Katalinka, and [name_f]Karin[/name_f]/a.

Other suggestions/thoughts: Not necessarily intuitive.

  • [name_m]Author[/name_m] Kalayna [name_m]Price[/name_m] as a series featuring a spunky Kita. (Fairly certain it’s either invented or a nn like [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. I like it though.)
  • [name_u]Nikita[/name_u] (It’s not an exact match but would work).
  • Citrine/[name_f]Citron[/name_f] (The first is a semi-precious yellow-ish stone, the second, well a lemon/lime/etc).

bellerose - maybe [name_f]Katalina[/name_f], but I don’t think I like it enough
lexiem - [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like any of the Katheirne variants though =/ I kinda like [name_u]Nikita[/name_u]!

I do kind of love [name_f]Catriona[/name_f], nicknamed [name_u]Kit[/name_u], but I think [name_u]Kit[/name_u] could be a nickname whatever her official name. It’s just of those ones I think you could just use, if that makes sense…sorry! Good luck anyway.

[name_f]Octavia[/name_f]
Kestrel
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_u]Dakota[/name_u]
[name_f]Corrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Kirsten[/name_f]

Or really anything with a K sound in the first name and a T sound in the middle.
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f], [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] [name_f]Tansy[/name_f], etc.

[name_f]Kitty[/name_f]
[name_f]Katrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Katia[/name_f]

Yeah I understand not loving [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] variations.

Have you considered a different K fn and a mn that would allow for a nn from the combo?
Something like:
Kalena Isabetta
Kaia Iolanthe
Kennedy Ivette
or
Kali Talitha
Kassiopeia Tabar
[name_f]Ki[/name_f]rbey Thomasina
or whatever else strikes your fancy.

[name_f]Keturah[/name_f]
[name_f]Cricket[/name_f]

ciottolo - Not really liking [name_f]Catriona[/name_f]…
kala_way - I like [name_u]Dakota[/name_u], but I dont know if I like [name_u]Kit[/name_u] as a nn for it
suzywpp - I like [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] but I think its just as nicknamey
lexiem - I think it’s a little long fetched actually
alexa400 - Not a fan of either one…

I love [name_u]Kit[/name_u]! But maybe she would be better as a nickname.
Suggestions:
[name_f]Kitty[/name_f]
[name_f]Catriona[/name_f]
[name_f]Catalina[/name_f]
[name_f]Keturah[/name_f]
[name_f]Katia[/name_f]
[name_f]Corinne[/name_f]

But if you know if you can’t find a full name for [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] use [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is lovely, intricate, and wholesome. [name_u]Kit[/name_u] has a lovely rural sound as well. I would team [name_u]Kit[/name_u] with very feminine lengthy classic like…
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Violetta[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]

[name_m]Ah[/name_m] well… I understand that. You just don’t make it easy with your [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] aversion. I’ll be back if I come up with anything.

Kitri? She’s a character in the ballet [name_m]Don[/name_m] [name_m]Quixote[/name_m]. I love just [name_u]Kit[/name_u] too. Maybe [name_m]Kitt[/name_m]?

Maybe [name_f]Cataleya[/name_f] / Kataleya???
Or just [name_f]Kat[/name_f] with the nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u]?
