What could Tess be short for? Besides Therese...

I know, I know, re not liking [name]Tess[/name], [name]Tessa[/name] or [name]Therese[/name] as a stand alone name! And I see your point re contrived nicknames. I just think [name]Tessa[/name] sounds a bit prissy and [name]Therese[/name]/ [name]Theresa[/name] sounds a bit 1970s-country-Catholic. (I’m from Australia.) And [name]Tess[/name] on its own is my favourite nickname, but it doesn’t look like enough to me on a birth certificate…

Thanks for the suggestions. I don’t mind [name]Quintessa[/name] but that’s certainly a very big name - something to think about! I’ve got another four months.
