What do people think of Simon?

I was trying to think of underused classics and thought of [name_m]Simon[/name_m] the other day and it’s been sticking in my head. I’m surprised it’s not more popular.

What do people think? What are your associations with the name?

my Godfather’s name is simon, and i know quite a couple but they’re all my dad’s age so when i hear it i think of a middle age man with slightly greying hair and kind eyes. my dad also has a couple of friends who he plays golf with named simon, so i kind of associate it with all of them.

i would be surprised if i met a little simon, and i would probably guess that it’s an honour name for one of their fathers. i like the sound of the name though, and i think with a fun middle name it could be incredibly sweet.

born and raised in england, so i’m not sure if it’s less “middle age man” anywhere else in the world :love_letter:

I really love the sound and one of few boy names I adore :white_heart:

[name_m]Simon[/name_m] is a really lovely name! It feels a little [name_m]British[/name_m] to me and feels also very intelligent. I personally prefer [name_f]Simeon[/name_f] since it feels more unexpected to me, but I would love to meet a little [name_m]Simon[/name_m]!

I know a little [name_m]Simon[/name_m]! I also have [name_m]Simon[/name_m] on my own list! I think he’s handsome and gentle and sweet. My first association is [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Belmont[/name_m] from Castlevania!
