I’m 34 weeks pregnant with DD2 and having trouble settling on a name. DD1 is [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], I’ve fallen in love with the name [name_f]Aria[/name_f] but its length in comparison to DD1 name throws me off.
Am I crazy and over thinking? Or should DD2 also have a long name?
My other top name is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
I don’t think it’s necessarily length - it’s popularity and style. I’m hearing more and more Arias but I’ve never met an [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] so it feels more plain. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] also feels more modern then [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. However if those things don’t bother you then don’t let me panic you.
I think it’s probably better to use what you like most and not worry about them matching. But if you wanted a longer version of it, something like [name_f]Arianna[/name_f] or [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] could work? Or [name_f]Arianwen[/name_f]. [name_f]Aria[/name_f]'s a lovely name though, and I don’t think it sounds strange with [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Aria[/name_f] works with [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] as two spunky, feminine names and it’s refreshing, when [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] - while arguably top 10 most beautiful names and is luxurious like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - is VERY popular. That’d be more my consideration.
If you want a closer pairing with [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] (and a name with perhaps more staying power - pretty sure [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_m]Stark[/name_m] got [name_f]Aria[/name_f] on the naming sites?) then I agree with the idea of [name_f]Diana[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], or [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] or the longer [name_u]Ari[/name_u]- names as above, or else maybe: [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]/a, [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], or maybe another Is- name or [name_f]Bella[/name_f] like [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Annabella[/name_f], Rosabella, [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f]?
Might be a stretch but perhaps [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] nn [name_f]Aria[/name_f]?
But I think [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is pretty, a name for an adult too, and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_m]Stark[/name_m] is legendary! — and adored individual names secondary to sibset being 100% imo.
I quite like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] together.
If you think about it, you will probably say the names more (as opposed to seeing them written) so you’re probably over thinking it.
If you have children with a 3 syllable and a 4 syllable name, you really have two long names anyway.
