What’s your opinion on [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]? Are there any negative associations I should know of? Thanks!
I like [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]! Can’t think of any obvious negative connections.
I LOVE [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] the only association I have is the little pig in Charlotte’s [name_m]Web[/name_m], and I think that’s an adorable one!
I think it’s cute. The pig from Charlotte’s [name_m]Web[/name_m] is my association, but that isn’t such a bad one. Especially as I dont think the majority of children will be super familiar with the story, as the film is old and many children dont read it, so I wouldn’t be concerned about pig-related bullying
[name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] is awesome! Cosy and gentle with a fun vibe too. It’s my guinea pig’s name so maybe I’m a bit biased
It’s not my cup of tea, honestly, but I don’t have any negative associations with it that I would find concerning.
It always makes me think of the pig from Charlotte’s [name_m]Web[/name_m]. I always think “oh Wilbur” which I think is from that movie. It’s a fairly cute name. I would just always think of a pig.
I really like! I’d love to see it used more
Makes me think of the pig which is a little bit negative I guess… not because [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] the pig was bad just because he was a pig lol. I also want to say it in a funny voice. I’m hoping most people aren’t like me…
I love [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]! It’s an adorable “old man” baby name to me. It was on my shortlist for my last baby.
it reminds me of the pig so personally i will never use it. but i LOVE it for other people!
I do not like this name and I think it will incur teasing.
I love [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]! It’s vintage, ‘old man’ (a good thing, not sure if it’s a problem here), and really cute! The only association I have is the pig but it’s not a negative association for me :))
I definitely immediately think of Charlotte’s [name_m]Web[/name_m], which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] is a pig in that story.
I LOVE IT. SO MUCH. I think it’s just absolutely adorable. I picture a blue-eyed, brown-haired little boy with a mischievous grin and maybe ice cream on his face. The pig association… yeah that’s unfortunate, but there’s also [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] [name_m]Wright[/name_m]! I just think this name is the cutest and I’d love to see it come back. Hopefully people will look past the pig reference.
I don’t think the pig part of Charlotte’s web bothers me as much as the fact that [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] is a really passive, desperate character. I mean, he has his good qualities, but even [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] had a hard time identifying them
The name itself is fine, and could grow on me. Wilby would be a sweet nickname, kind of like [name_m]Gilby[/name_m] for [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m].
I adore Wilbur! so so much!
I adore [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]. I like cozy, comfy male names like this.
It’s a little too old man-ish for my taste. I do love the nickname Will/Wil, though.
