What do you see when you think of a name?

Have you ever looked at a name, and wondered what it meant? Then you looked it up, because this is, of course, Nameberry. When you see certain names, do you picture what they mean? [name]Do[/name] you see different images or colors than what they really are?

When I picture the name [name]Wren[/name], I think of a black bird. So I looked up in Google images what a wren looked like, and most of the pictures I saw were of brown, spotted cute birds.

When I think of the name [name]Zinnia[/name], I think pink and lime green. I also looked up the name and zinnias can come in many shapes and colors, all beautiful.

Lately I’ve really come to liking the name [name]Susanne[/name] (or anything similar) because of the oo sound. I never pictured lilies or anything like what it actually means whenever I saw the name [name]Susanne[/name] or [name]Susanna[/name]. Instead, I always pictured sunflowers.

That kind of inspired me to make little name tokens, just for fun. [name]Do[/name] you like them? What do you picture or see when you think of a name?

[name]Susannah[/name] makes me think of [name]Shoshana[/name], which is modern Hebrew for rose, not lily. So when I picture [name]Susannah[/name] I often picture roses. Or roses and lilies together because of the English/Hebrew divergence.
