Thoughts on Gabriel?
I’ve always loved handsome [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]. [name_m]Classic[/name_m], strong, and familiar without being super popular.
I like it a lot! It’s classic yet fresh.
It’s so sweet! It makes me think of warm baby cuddles. I’m lukewarm on the nn [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] though.
It’s such a great name! A classic that everyone knows but isn’t overused, and it works in so many languages!
I love [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u], it is a really handsome name!!
I like the nn [name_u]Gael[/name_u] instead of [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]
[name_f]My[/name_f] [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] is 5. We still love his name! We mostly call him [name_m]Gabe[/name_m], or [name_f]Gabey[/name_f], or GiGi
. We call him lots of nicknames but his full name is so classic and beautiful. Sometimes he introduces himself as [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] and sometimes as [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]. No one’s ever misspelled it. And we know very few others. Literally 2, one who is 6 and one who is 3.
I like [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]! It has a strong but gentle sound, classic but fresh. It’s one of my good friend’s names so I have good associations with it!
LOVE it!!
[name_f]My[/name_f] second son was supposed to be [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] but my husband fought for [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] and won. So he is [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]. He said if he ever has a son he will be named [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]
Oh I love [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] so much. Masculine names don’t strike me the same way feminine names do, so there are very few boys names I like. [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] would be my #1 pick… if not for the nickname [name_m]Gabe[/name_m], which I’m much less keen on
It’s a sweet spot name, for sure: handsome, historical, international, not overdone, both strong and gentle… Plus, [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] is such a friendly nickname.
I love it, it’s my second son’s middle name — partly for its lovely literary ties, partly for its Christmassy connection (he’s an end-of-November baby), but mostly for its clear, warm, dashing sound and vibe.
I also love that it works very well internationally and is classic and timeless, but never wildly popular (where I live, at least). And it feels smart and refined, but approachable and not too rarified.
I too am not wild about [name_m]Gabe[/name_m], which makes it a perfect middle name for us. But I love it as a first name too!
I absolutely adore [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]! I think it’s strong yet soft. [name_m]Rich[/name_m] in history but not overly popular
[name_f]My[/name_f] sons name. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it for all the reasons mentioned above.
I love [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]. I can’t say a single negative thing about it. It sounds strong and soft at the same time, it’s classic but not overused, and it’s one of those names that are truly international. I like the nickname [name_m]Gabe[/name_m], but [name_m]Gable[/name_m] is probably my favorite nickname (maybe less obvious, but well).
I love [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]. I think it has a very lovely sound. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the nickname [name_m]Gabe[/name_m].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it
Echoing previous posters, I think it’s lovely and a true sweet spot name. I especially like nickname [name_m]Gabe[/name_m].
I will say that I find the Biblical associations to be quite strong (more than other classics like [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_u]Daniel[/name_u], etc) and for that reason it’s not on my own list. But I think I may be in the minority in that line of thinking.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] this name, it was my number one for YEARS right along with [name_u]Carter[/name_u].
I love the name [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]! [name_m]Classic[/name_m], elegant, strong. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] name
