I’ve been really loving the name Magdalena also recently, it’s one of my top names for a girl. I love the meaning, it’s history and ties to my culture as well, and I’d like to use it for a future child one day. I’m a bit worried about its popularity in the future and if itll be too common that it’ll pull me away from the name. And what do you guys think about the name Magdalena with the name Igor as a sibset? Does it work, or is Magdalena too long to go with Igor?

I like the name. [name_m]Classic[/name_m], historic, plenty of nicknames. [name_m]Igor[/name_m] seems a bit mismatched.
[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] is elegant and bright -I like it. I think [name_m]Igor[/name_m] and [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] could work -Magdalena is longer but it flows so easily, I think it works
[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] is beautiful striking name that feels so classically European and very graceful. [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] is a name that I can never see becoming overly popular I would never worry about this name booming in popularity. She is mentioned on nameberry but not overly so and in real life I’ve never heard the name being disused with expectant mothers or called out at playgroups I think she’ll always remain under the radar as one of those underused classic gem names. I think [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] could work with [name_m]Igor[/name_m] they both have a classic Russian aristocratic vibe but the posting doesn’t feel completely cohesive I think [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f] would work better.
I like [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] tons, I think it goes with most names.
I love [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f], it’s a gorgeous name! I actually really like [name_m]Igor[/name_m] and [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] together!
Magdalena is stunning, but when I say it out loud the g being right next to the d sounds a bit harsh. Because of this, I actually prefer Madalena / Madelena. I do think that it goes with Igor, but like others said, Magdelene or Madeleine might be nicer since it cuts out a syllable. Still a good sibset though, and go with what you love!

I personally prefer [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f], [name_f]Maddalena[/name_f], and even the [name_m]Dutch[/name_m] [name_f]Madelief[/name_f] (which is only similar because of the mad- beginning lol), but it is nice! I could easily see [name_m]Igor[/name_m] and [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] as siblings; it’s a little mismatched but also really nice because both feel very European to me.
I adore [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] (though I slightly prefer Magdalene). [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite nickname is [name_f]Lena[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] “Lena” and [name_m]Igor[/name_m] would make a lovely sibset.

i do think igor feels a bit off with magdalena though, it’s got a different vibe for me,
