[name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]? Like [name_m]Adrian[/name_m], ay-dree-en or like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], ah-dree-en or something else entirely? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think people will think it’s a boy name, [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]? What do you think of the name? What style would you say it is? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would fit in with old fashioned names like [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Silvie[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]? [name_m]How[/name_m] about the names in my signature? [name_m]How[/name_m] does it compare to [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] or [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]?
I personally really like [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] (just as [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f]/[name_f]Adriana[/name_f]) and pronounce it ah-dree-en. I doubt that [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] will be seen as a boys name, since most people know -enne is a female suffix, even non-namenerds. I think it fits in perfectly with the names in your signature (which are all lovely). I think it’s a bit classier and less common than [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], but I think it is more comparible to [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].
Overall I find [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] very lovely.
I pronounce [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] ay-dree-ENN.
I think it’s beautiful. I only know one [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and she wears the name perfectly! It’s spunky, girly, fresh and sweet.
I definitely prefer [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] over [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], and it’s about equal with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] for me.
We are ttc now, originally I had the name [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] on my short list, which I still love but with the popularity of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]/[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]/[name_f]Aubree[/name_f] I think the name will seem much more popular than it really is, like [name_u]Aidan[/name_u], which has really turned me off to the name. [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] seems different enough, and not quite as popular, it’s on a bit the downswing but it’s popularity seems more jagged than big swooping curves like [name_f]Emma[/name_f], so I think it may fit in the current sound without becoming dated? that’s my hope anyway.
I prefer [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f] or [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], but mostly because I love the name [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] for a boy and it’s a lil too close for me
I’ve always like [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]! :-). (I pronounce the A in it like [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] not like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]). I prefer Adrienne over Audrey and Adeline.
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] is a great name. To me it sounds more modern than the other names, and it has a strong and romantic balance between masculine and feminine.
I like [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] too! But not quite as much as [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] I think. [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] is on my back up list though. I know the -ana names are popular now but I prefer shorter less lacy (princess-y) names and three syllables. [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] over [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] over [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f], [name_u]Marian[/name_u] over [name_f]Mariana[/name_f].
I actually prefer [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] on girls! I know 3 girls named [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] (but spelled three different ways, [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f], [name_f]Adrianne[/name_f], and [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]) and I think the first spelling is the prettiest. Their middles are [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_u]Skyler[/name_u], and [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_f]Lisette[/name_f], all of which are between ages 18-10. I’d love to meet a baby [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f].
I say [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] like [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]. It’s on my short list. I think it’s lovely. It fits well with your other names. When I compare [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] to [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] I like it better. To me it seems more classic and wearable on different girls.
I’ve always loved it. I had a neighbor named [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] growing up, and she was the coolest thing ever.
It’s a very 80’s name. Sort of late 70’s early 80’s. I like it but only because I know an [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] who is very sweet. [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] for a girl and [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] for a boy but both pronounced the same.
It is a beautiful name, I have never met a real life one and would love to! I pronounce it AY-[name_f]DREE[/name_f]-ENN (UK)

[name_u]Love[/name_u]!! What are the nn or potential hesitations?
Honestly it’s not overly nice. I’d prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
I’m not too keen on it either, but I also [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] for a boy. I can see it working on girl though, definitely, with so many unisex names being popular.
