I like this name…my husband is set on [name]Annika[/name] (like [name]Monica[/name] without the M) but I have a cousin that is married to an [name]Annika[/name]. I already have [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Honor[/name] on my list. My baby girl will be here on [name]December[/name] 15 so I would like a name for her NOW!
I love [name]Anya[/name], it’s a name I would use for a daughter myself. Classic, unusual, simple to spell and say, and lovely, appropriate for all ages.
I think [name]Anya[/name] would be an excellent compromise. It’s simple to spell and say and I could see it on any type of girl or woman.
I love [name]Anya[/name]!! I would definitely consider for a future daughter of my own
I love [name]Anya[/name] and [name]Annika[/name], so I think it’s lovely. It’s beautiful and so classy.
i don’t really like anya. but i like anaya and adiya which are similar.
Exactly what I was thinking!
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Anya[/name]! It’s one of my very favourite names, both beautiful and classy but cute and spunky at the same time, it could suit a child or an adult. I love it!
[name]Love[/name] [name]Anya[/name]! It is really pretty and classy, and works well for a baby right through to a more mature woman as well. A real winner!
i love this name! but my husbands fam has soooo many anyas already. but their names are spelled anna- it’s just the pronunciation difference. but in the us it makes sense to use the anya or anja spelling to clarify how the name is said.
Really pretty and classy name! My only reservation with it is that we aren’t Russian and it sounds very European to me. But if that doesn’t bother u or u are honoring your heritage then I say go for it. It’s a lovely underused name.
Oh and when my dh first heard it he thought it sounded just like “on ya”. Ugh. Men. Lol. And also tree might be onion teasing. But honestly, every name has some teasing potential. Or at least most do. I still really like it. It’s on my list as well
I love both names—[name]Annika[/name] and [name]Anya[/name]. I know a young Irish woman named [name]Anya[/name] and it fits her beautifully.
I love it! so simple and elegant.
Sounds like On Ya. As in someone is on you.
That’s true. With a different spelling, same sound, it is an Irish name.
