What do you think of Blossom?

I saw [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] a few weeks ago in a Youtube video about baby names and I can’t stop thinking about it as a middle name. I’m not pregnant, whatsoever. [name_m]Just[/name_m] playing with names. So, what do you think of [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] as a middle name?

I think it’s really sweet but I can’t imagine it on a person.

I think it is a beautiful middle name!! I particularly love your combo of [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f]!

I think it works as a middle. Watch out for flower or word first names though.

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f]- not so much.
[name_f]Jade[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f]- is confusing.
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] sounds nice!

I love [name_f]Blossom[/name_f]. I believe to be totally usable name.

I am definitely not a fan in general and was going to say I couldn’t see it working nicely, but [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] is lovely.

[name_m]Bob[/name_m] Geldoffs daughter was [name_f]Peaches[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f].

Reminds me of [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] Dearie, I find it very sweet, floral and vintage. I agree with pp that [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] works well as a combo. I also think that [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] would make dashing siblings!

I find a bit too sweet for an adult, I wouldn’t want to be my middle name.

I really like it, especially for the middle! I wouldn’t mind having the middle name [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] at all.
It is super sweet, but it also feels a little old fashioned which makes it a tad less sugary. And i really like saying it aloud- breezy and billowy.

I think it’s fine for a middle name. Personally, it screams early 2000s Powerpuff Girls to me. [name_f]Blossom[/name_f], Bubbles, and [name_f]Buttercup[/name_f].

I think it’s a bit too cutesy to be usable for a first name, but I can definitely see the appeal as a middle. [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] feels feminine and sweet, ladylike and vintage, like an upper-class Victorian or Edwardian girl or woman in a pink dress.

Is everyone on this thread too young to remember the show [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] from the 90s (starring [name_f]Mayim[/name_f] Bialik)? That’s what I think of. So, I think of a goofy teenager with a big hat and a giant flower on it, doing a dance. I could never ever think of using it.

I think it only works as a middle name. I would avoid nature and color first names.

Thank you so much for all the love for the combo of [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f]!

[name_f]Blossom[/name_f] strikes me as a beautiful word, just like what it is in the garden.

I think it would make a lovely middle.

I prefer it as a middle, because as a gardener and name lover, I’m crazy about so many specific blossom names, everything from [name_f]Lilac[/name_f] to [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] to [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] to [name_f]Begonia[/name_f] to [name_f]Forsythia[/name_f] to [name_f]Verbena[/name_f] to [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] and if I were going for a first, I’d go with one of them. [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] is gorgeous.

I think that [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] is a lovely name! I would personally use it as a middle name, however it is perfectly useable for a first name. My friend’s niece is called Bloom, so it’s no different to that! [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] is a name that I would not pair with a floral name, so I would go with something like [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] or [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f], etc. What a beautiful name!

I recently became obsessed with the TV show “[name_f]Blossom[/name_f]” and I love it so much that I watch it everyday. I think that if you take into account the character [name_f]Blossom[/name_f], in the show she is a really smart and musically talented girl, with a great family, a great friend (Who has the name Six) and an amazing life. [name_m]Just[/name_m] by association a kid named [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] can only be fantastic.
