I really love the name Brianna, to my ear it sounds sophisticated, girly and lovely, but at the same time maybe it actually sounds like a bratty kid (I know in movies most Briannas are pretentious and bratty…) And do you like it more when spelt Brianna or Briana? Please be honest, I won’t be offended! Thank you!
I’ll be honest, I do unfortunately have that same stereotype in mind about the name Brianna. I also find it a bit dated to the early 2000s, so I’m not a big fan. For something with a similar sound, what about Brielle, Bridget, Bryony, Briar, Rhiannon, Lianna, Aubrey?
I really like the name Briana/Brianna. I prefer the pronunciation Bree-awn-uh over Bree-ann-uh, although either spelling is fine. There are two Brianas at the school where I work, and they are both really sweet girls.
I love the name [name_f]Brianna[/name_f] too and there are also many kind Briannas in movies and books,I like the [name_f]Brianna[/name_f] spelling better, when I think about the name [name_f]Brianna[/name_f] I have a warm, kind and brave person in mind
Aubrey/Audrey are also on the list, so is [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]! Maybe I’ll consider these instead
I like Bree-awn-uh better too!
The awn pronunciation I do not like. Sounds a bit stuck up, but I feel that way about most names with ann vs awn. I don’t like the name [name_m]Brian[/name_m] at all so it just ok for me.
[name_f]Brianna[/name_f] is really sweet! I knew the cutest kid called [name_f]Brianna[/name_f] so it reminds me of her
It’s not my style. I find it a bit dated. I don’t associate it with brats, although it’s not difficult for me to picture a brat named [name_f]Brianna[/name_f], if that makes sense. I knew a lot growing up and their personalities ranged quite a bit.
I also knew a [name_f]Briana[/name_f] who said it bree-AH-na instead of bree-ANN-uh, and I like her pronunciation more.
I love it! Any “Bri” names have a place in my heart. I love [name_f]Brianna[/name_f], [name_f]Brie[/name_f], [name_f]Brielle[/name_f], Bridget… I like the pronunciation briAWna better than briANNa though
I don’t have an issue with the name but all the Brianna/Briana’s I know are so mean and full on.
