This is kind of a newly found treasure for me, and I’m curious what other people think about the name. Is it too close to the name [name]Nora[/name]/[name]Norah[/name] to be usable? It would be so typical to have a [name]Nora[/name], [name]Laura[/name], and [name]Cora[/name] all together in the same class.
Secondly, what would you suggest as a sibling to a [name]Cora[/name]?
I’m not really a fan of [name]Cora[/name], but probably because I grew up with several female [name]Cori[/name]/[name]Kori[/name]/[name]Corey[/name]'s. If I’m not mistaken, it’s becoming pretty popular. I’m not sure where you’re from, but [name]Cora[/name] is only slightly less popular than [name]Nora[/name] in the US (but neither are in the top 100 yet). The names are very similar, but I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be usable unless you already have a [name]Nora[/name].
I think [name]Cora[/name] might have brothers named:
[name]Leo[/name]
[name]Arthur[/name]
[name]Henry[/name]
and maybe sisters named:
[name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Grace[/name]
I don’t like [name]Cora[/name] as much as [name]Coraline[/name]/[name]Coralie[/name]/[name]Caroline[/name], which I really love.
For me, [name]Cora[/name] is less likable than [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Flora[/name] but more likable than [name]Dora[/name]. None of them are so ultra-popular I would think they ban the use of any of the others.
I don’t say [name]Laura[/name] to rhyme with [name]Cora[/name].
I would be far more concerned about the popularity of [name]Keira[/name]/[name]Kira[/name]/[name]Kori[/name]/[name]Corey[/name] and [name]Kaylee[/name] as far as classroom blend.
[name]Cora[/name] is a beautiful name Sibling names should be short like [name]Cora[/name], I’m thinking, because [name]Cora[/name] is a short name also.
For a boy: [name]Max[/name], [name]Matt[/name], or [name]Jeff[/name].
For a girl: [name]Avery[/name], [name]Molly[/name], [name]Wendy[/name].
I don’t suggest longer sib names like [name]Adelaide[/name] or [name]Benjamin[/name] because it doesn’t look good. [name]Just[/name] think, [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Adelaide[/name], or [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Benjamin[/name]? It doesn’t sound right to me. Shorter names for siblings also look good with [name]Cora[/name].
I live in southern [name]Arizona[/name], so I’m not really sure what that means name popularity wise… There are a couple of [name]Nora[/name]'s in my daughter’s preschool class, but [name]Cora[/name] seems practically unheard of. When we decided on [name]Tessa[/name] for our daughter, the majority of our friends were shocked that we didn’t go with something more “traditional.”
I [name]ADORE[/name] it. For sibs I would say really anything super classic/elegant like [name]Henry[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Amelia[/name], [name]William[/name] etc.
I’m not a fan, I find the name rather boring and lacking. I much prefer [name]Cara[/name], or [name]Caroline[/name] nn [name]Caro[/name].
Siblings:
[name]Cora[/name] and [name]James[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] and [name]Jacqueline[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] and [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] and [name]Mara[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] and [name]Jana[/name]
