Was watching a dancing with the stars clip and one of the dancers name was [name]Derek[/name] and I realized it was a name that I like, but never really considered before. It sounds kind of princely to me.
I love [name]Derek[/name]!! Cool name.
It has kind of 90’s hot guy vibe to me for some reason, I can’t place whether I am thinking of a celeb or someone I used to know!
I prefer [name]Eric[/name], it has the same vibe, but feels more classic & Nordic.
I think it’s a little dated, but it’s nice enough.
I like it, and that is my favorite spelling. Strong, simple, and [name]Derek[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name] on [name]Grey[/name]'s Anatomy gives it a hottie vibe.
[name]Derek[/name] feels very dated to me and I dislike that there are multiple spellings.
I like the name!
Very dated, 80’s baby.
Sounds dated to me, as in, born between 1979 and 1989.
It doesn’t feel dated to me, but maybe that’s just because I have never known or even encountered a [name]Derek[/name]! I like it a lot.
Dumb jock from my high school (class of '89).
I like [name]Derek[/name], but then again its my brother’s name. Most of the Dereks I know are smart and funny. My brother hasn’t had too much trouble with the spelling, no more than a john or [name]Jon[/name] might have.
[name]Derek[/name] is one of my recent favorites!
[name]Derek[/name] is my husband’s name. It’s not my favorite, but I like it.
It certainly has dropped in popularity, but I don’t necessarily think it’s dated.
There are a couple of acceptable spellings (ie: [name]Derrick[/name]), which can be annoying, but isn’t as huge deal.
I like it, but wouldn’t use it.
