Impressions, associations, likes, dislikes…
When I first read it I thought it was a more feminine name, but I now see its a [name_m]French[/name_m] form of [name_m]Stephen[/name_m], and it which means “crown” or “garland” (from the Greek [name_m]Stephanos[/name_m]) which is so cute.
[name_f][/name_f]I like how it rolls off the tongue [name_f][/name_f]- soft yet strong. It has a refined feel without being too pretentious.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Some fun imagery
[name_f][/name_f]Étienne has a sophisticated, slightly old-world charm to it. It feels elegant, maybe a little mysterious [name_f][/name_f]- like a poet, philosopher, or someone with a quietly magnetic presence. It brings to mind [name_m]French[/name_m] streets, candlelit libraries, and classical music playing in the background.
[name_f][/name_f]I suppose one potential downside is that outside of French-speaking places, people might trip over the pronunciation or spell it wrong.
I have always adored [name_m]Etienne[/name_m]. It sounds sturdy but flowing.
I like it !! I love a boy name with a softer sound and it feels classic and handsome.
I love [name_m]Etienne[/name_m]!
[name_m]Etienne[/name_m] feels gentle and slightly poetic [name_f][/name_f]- it does feel very [name_m]French[/name_m] to me, and quite regal?
I like it! I associate it with someone I know named [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] but in general it gives me a refined, old-fashioned impression
