I was just wondering what everyone thought of the name [name]Lydia[/name]? I’m currently expecting and was considering the name.
I also need middle name ideas for [name]Lydia[/name]. We’ve come up with [name]Augusta[/name] and [name]Cleopatra[/name]- any suggestions?
We thinkwe would like a girly middle name.
[name]Violetta[/name]-[name]Augusta[/name] (yes, that’s where we got the idea from shhh i rarely tell anyone my name is double-barrelled!)
xx
The name [name]Lydia[/name] always reminds me of ladybugs. I think it’s cute! [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Cleopatra[/name] both end in “a”…so not a fan. The first combo I thought of was [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Collette[/name]. I like C middle names with [name]Lydia[/name], so
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Clare[/name]/[name]Claire[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Love[/name] [name]Lydia[/name]! It is a beautiful name with Biblical and literary connections. As for mn, do you have any family names to consider? [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] is pretty, but doesn’t seem super girly. Also, watch out for the initials with the last name (ex: LA? Could be [name]LAY[/name], LAG, [name]LAD[/name], etc.)
I want to like [name]Lydia[/name] but thanks to someone I went to high school with all I think when I hear it is … [name]Lydia[/name] Chlamydia. Not a problem when they’re young but potentially disastrous in the teenage years.
I used to not be able to stand it, but I watched a webseries based off of Pride and Prejudice and absolutely loved the [name]Lydia[/name] character, so I feel like that canceled out my negative ideas about it so now I just think of it as a lovely name. It has a very nice sound!
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] is very nice, but I’m not sure about [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Cleopatra[/name].
[name]Lydia[/name] is one of my favorite girl’s names! It is sweet, feminine, and is great on a child or an adult. [name]How[/name] about [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Violet[/name]?
[name]Lydia[/name] is a sweet and pretty name (my MN) but the Pride and Prejudice connection really turns me off. I love the strong, historical [name]Augusta[/name], and [name]Cleopatra[/name] is nice too, but I don’t particularly like either with [name]Lydia[/name].
I adore [name]Lydia[/name]-- it’s one of those names that will always seem fresh and pretty to me, no matter how popular it gets. [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Cleopatra[/name] is a lot of name, but very pretty and distinctive. I don’t like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] quite as much.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Lydia[/name]! I think the nn Liddy/[name]Lydie[/name] is super sweet, and I love the Biblical and literary connections (although [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Bennet[/name] is much less savory than some of her older sisters!). [name]Cleopatra[/name] is a bit much for me, but I think [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] is lovely!
I’m not a fan, to me it just sounds too old. I think it sounds too much like Lid of your. Me and my family have a joke about [name]Lydia[/name] Dustbin.
I adore [name]Lydia[/name], I think it’s such a pretty name, and Lyddie is adorable on a little girl too. I’m not a fan of [name]Augusta[/name] or [name]Cleopatra[/name], sorry. I think a non-a ending middle name would be better. Assuming you want something fairly long:
I love [name]Lydia[/name], but hubby won’t get on board.
I love that it is a classic named that has been used consistently for over a century (in [name]North[/name] [name]America[/name]), without ever being really popular or trendy. It is one of those names that you can’t go wrong with.
I wouldn’t worry about the teasing potential. It is a classic enough and common enough that it shouldn’t be a major issue. [name]Lydia[/name] Chlamydia would get old really fast and isn’t even that funny.
I love the name [name]Lydia[/name]! It’ so pretty, simple, and elegant. [name]How[/name] about [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Christine[/name]?
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Christine[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Faith[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Raine[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Waverley[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Stephanie[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Danielle[/name]
[name]Love[/name] lydia, I know 2 (one is my best friend!)
Their names are:
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] (bit of a dull middle but works well with little sister [name]Jemima[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - am in the UK, think in the US [name]Jemima[/name] has some problems)
and
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Susanne[/name] (a family name)
hmm… i suppose you’re right. my hubbie came up with [name]Gracelynn[/name]- no idea where he got it from! I think we’ll finally rule out cleopatra! Thanks for your help, any more suggestions?
