What do you think of my favorites?

My hubby and I adore the name [name]Ada[/name] [name]June[/name] for our soon to arrive baby. My concern is that our last name is just one syllable, and that the full name won’t be substantial enough. What do you guys think? [name]June[/name] is adapted from my fabulous grandmother [name]Judith[/name], and I really want to use it somehow. ([name]Judith[/name] was ruled out for various reasons)

My other favorites are [name]June[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] (love the nickname [name]June[/name] [name]Belle[/name]!) and [name]Annabel[/name] [name]June[/name] (nn [name]Annie[/name] most likely).

She will be a sister to Maxson ([name]Max[/name]) [name]Dean[/name] - we like the short but strong names. Thanks for any input!!

I think my favorite out of all your choices is [name]Annabel[/name] [name]June[/name]. So adorable.

Thanks! I love [name]Annabel[/name] [name]June[/name] as well, but am having trouble selling my husband on that one. I like that [name]Annabel[/name] is a bit more feminine and offers some additional nickname options…

Have you considered Judine (a form of [name]Judith[/name])? I prefer [name]Ada[/name] to [name]Annabel[/name], but they are both lovely. Not so crazy about [name]June[/name] [name]Isabella[/name].

I love the simplicity of Ada June and I don’t think it matters if you’ve got a one syllable surname.

One of my friends is called Emma Rose (first name Emma, middle name Rose, not a double first name) and has a five-letter, one syllable surname. Not the longest name in the world, but it’s substantial enough, because it’s a name.

Edited to add: There are positives to having shorter names.

When we have tests/exams, Emma has written her name out and is on the first question, while I’m still writing out my name (8 letter first name, 10 letter surname). Oh and she can easily write her name on forms, I sometimes have write smaller to fit mine in!

Oh, Judine is lovely, and one I hadn’t heard yet - we explored some other variations on [name]June[/name] but nothing sounded quite right to me.

MaggieMary, that is a great point! I grew up with a long, hyphenated last name and always spent forever on those darn test forms

All your options are lovely, but I have to say, I adore [name]Annabel[/name] [name]June[/name]! I just love the nn [name]Annie[/name], and I love the full form [name]Annabel[/name] (and [name]June[/name] pairs with it so well!).

[name]June[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] and [name]Ada[/name] [name]June[/name] are lovely, too (or you might opt for [name]Ada[/name] [name]Juniper[/name] if you want a longer combo?)–I don’t think you could really go wrong.

Good luck!

[name]Annabel[/name] [name]June[/name] is great! [name]Ada[/name] [name]June[/name] is cute too. I rolled around the idea of Junabelle so I love the nn idea of [name]June[/name] [name]Belle[/name]!

[name]Love[/name] love love the idea of [name]June[/name] [name]Belle[/name] as a nn. I think the 1-3-1 pattern sounds more appealing than 2-1-1

Thanks for the feedback! We may have to keep all three on the list and decide once we meet baby girl. My husband says he’s still sold on [name]Ada[/name] [name]June[/name], but I keep flip-flopping!

You could do [name]Adalaide[/name] [name]June[/name] with nn [name]Ada[/name], that would be really pretty as well.

I had actually been rolling [name]Adelaide[/name] around in my head with that thought in mind - it’s a beautiful name, but I’m worried about the nn [name]Addie[/name], which I’m not a huge fan of.

I think [name]Ada[/name] [name]June[/name] is fantastic, and I think it would be fine with a one syllable last name.

[name]Annabel[/name] [name]June[/name] is really pretty!

Thanks berries! I think I’m between [name]Ada[/name] [name]June[/name] and [name]Annabel[/name] [name]June[/name] … If only I could get my husband love love the nn [name]Annie[/name] as much as I do! I think [name]Max[/name] and [name]Annie[/name] would be a great brother sister duo

[name]Adalia[/name] [name]June[/name]
[name]Adele[/name] [name]June[/name]
[name]Ada[/name] junia
[name]Ada[/name] juniper is my favourite, juniper is still strong but pretty.

I like [name]Ada[/name] [name]June[/name] the most. Followed by [name]June[/name] [name]Isabella[/name].

I know a 4-year-old [name]Annabel[/name] [name]June[/name]. It’s a great name.

[name]How[/name] often do you guys hear the name [name]Annabel[/name]? I know the spelling [name]Annabelle[/name] is approaching the top 100, which doesn’t really bother me - but I wonder if it’s more popular than it seems due to the different spellings? [name]One[/name] thing [name]Ada[/name] has going for it is how unique it is - although I guess it might run together more with all of the [name]Ava[/name]'s and other A names?

[name]Ada[/name] [name]June[/name] is cute and substancial enough. [name]June[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] would be my second choice off your list. Best of luck!
