Living in NYC (with a turkish husband!), I’m really used to all sorts of wonderful names with different origins. So I’m not sure about what the demographic is like in your area, but I know that in a lot of the US (and california too!) it wouldn’t turn heads in a negative way at all.

[name_m]Ibrahim[/name_m] is lovely. It feels warm, friendly and solid to me.
